"Fantastic hotel - comfortable beds, clean rooms and one of the best breakfast selections we have ever seen. Dinner service however could be improved as we were sitting 25 minutes after finishing our main course before plates were cleared even though there were only a few other tables present. Asked for dessert menu only to be told kitchen was shutting in 10 minutes. As we had paid for two courses we felt there was no option but to take our dessert to our room. I have worked in a restaurant for 20 years so I understand there can be waiting times when the restaurant is busy but as the restaurant was quiet I feel that we should have been cleared more promptly so as to save us the embarrassment we felt about ordering dessert."
