"A gorgeous place to stay. We loved our time at Aquila and felt so relaxed and refreshed being there. The room was clean and cosy, especially with the fire on. The amenities were fantastic and the bottle of bubbly readily enjoyed! We both found the bed to be comfortable and had a real quality night's sleep. Couldn't fault it, thank you for having us! "

"Only a 1 night stay at Narre Warren Quest and the room was pretty average. Its not a super modern place but there were still a few pros, staff were really nice and friendly upon check in and check out, no charge for on site parking and the apartment had good insulation with it being so quiet as never heard a sound throughout my stay which is a win. Now the cons the bed wasnt that comfortable and pillows were thin and not supportive, the room itself had a bit of a stale smell about it especially the bathroom.although the place is a bit old they do keep it neat and tidy other little annoying bit for me was not having any food options onsite as they suggest to use uber eats for your stay. Honestly i cant whingen too much as only a night and really needed it to sleep which i did so it did the job. Prob only mentioning as been asked for feedback and based on the price paid thats all. "
"DANGEROUS HEALTH HAZARD: Parasite Risk, Filth, unpleasant.
Stayed 3 times for work, but never again. This hotel is a severe health and safety nightmare.
Health & Water: The water quality is appalling. After using the tap on my last day, I suffered a violent gastrointestinal reaction. The shower water is so harsh it "burnt" my skin barrier. The room provided a rusty, broken kettle, forcing me to use my own spring water until it ran out.
Safety & Hygiene: Every stay involved cockroaches and thick dust. The environment feels unsafe; a window was smashed during my stay, and the clientele is often "shady." As a solo woman, I felt completely vulnerable.
Management & Service: "Tegan" was dismissive and unpleasant. I requested a ground-floor room days in advance for a project involving heavy lifting from my van. Despite being the first to check in, I was ignored and given a top-floor room on the loudest side, while later arrivals, including a younger man in foot with a backpack - got ground-floor spots. This negligence & lack of compassion caused me severe physical strain and body damage.
Environment: The property is trashed with cigarette butts. Staff sprayed weed killer directly behind me without warning; he wore a mask while I was forced to inhale fumes. Road noise is deafening 24/7. With no fly screens, you must choose between a room full of bugs or stifling aircon.
Avoid at all costs. This is a genuine health risk and an out-of-pocket disaster. I will be taking further action."
"Not a bad hotel just up the road from the main town centre of Lilydale. Only a five minute walk to the Lilydale International Hotel (great meals).
On arrival I found the room to be clean and in very good order. The staff in the office were very helpful and guided me to various places around town.
I had found out later that this hotel is part 'social housing' / 'halfway house'. When I woke Sunday morning, the police were present and I assume someone had O-D'd in a room up from me, as an ambulance arrived shortly after. This was not a problem and did not hinder my stay at the Econolodge.
Would I stay again, absolutely !"
" Location was the only Plus !!
We booked at this estate because it was offering Morning breakfast. It also showed a restaurant which offered Lunch and Dinner!!
It was a total disappointment! When we contacted for the breakfast, the guy told us he will keep it outside our door. We expected breakfast that was already made but what we got was the ingredients to make breakfast! On top of that, he sent us raw bacon and we don't eat Bacon or Beef!! Next day, he sent us a box of eggs.
There were cockroaches, cobwebs, dirty carpets. Totally unhygienic for kids. Both the kids got sick there! He told us on the checkin day that there was no Internet since more than a week!
On the last day, the guy didn't take our call at all! Not called back. We tried 2 times, but no luck. There were no bin bags to put rubbish in.
The stay was a disaste. We had to spent most of our time outside.
The property is beautiful and they are not managing it !!
I Don't recommend!!
I am writing this review just after checking out!!"
