Absolutely amazing experience. The room had a Onsen bath on the balcony overlooking the lake. The service included dinner and breakfast in a private room with amazing local food and a lovely waitress who spoke decent English and explained every dish to us. There is also a lovely open rooftop Onsen. The room is large and very comfortable like an apartment. All of the staff were amazing. Fantastic

A difficult place to find but we’ll located. Close to the lake and station. A traditional Japanese hotel well presented with helpful staff. We forwarded our cases to the hotel and on arrival we checked in and were escorted to our room where our cases stained us an a member of staff showed us round and explained everything to us.

Room, staff and food are exceptional.

The staff was very helpful, I could leave my luggage at reception and they took it up to my room so it was ready for me when I checked in. There are four different baths public baths: main bath;outdoor bath, and two smaller ones which had different herbs in them. Breakfast was also very good. Location is convenient for the train station and the lake. Overall enjoyable stay.

Close to highway and many good restaurants nearby

Very easy process to self check in, room spotless, great free drinks options, excellent breakfast (would recommend getting double portion of 'toast', which is delivered to your door at specified time (you must choose order before 11pm). Great location next to lake front. Would def stay again 😎

We were made to feel so welcome here and would love to stay again. The hosts were wonderful, so friendly and made this an unforgettable stay in an incredibly beautiful location. Would highly recommend!

Lovely stay in Matsumoto. Staff is amazing, Kaneda gave us several lifts to and from town, and the cafe was so nice too!

Wonderful little privately run bed and breakfast in lovely natural surroundings. The bed and breakfast is run with style, quality and homeliness in mind. The interior is decorated to be at one with nature and the local environment. Both the massage chair and the private bath for 2 (which needs to be booked in advance) were a pleasant surprise. It is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting and is very homely and down to earth. I will definitely stay here again when next in Japan.

Amazing stay for my birthday with my gf. It was so nice to have a quiet place to stay with 3 private baths. They were so beautiful and relaxing to use (even at 2am xD). Hiriko (hopefully i spelt that write :/) was amazing and was around to help when needed. They even got someone to pop over and collect our luggage. Food was amazing too. Will definetly be coming back next year.

Traditional property with aircon in the room and very comfortable mattresses for on the floor sleeping. Enclosed balconies with lovely views and private onsen available. The food was excellent and the owner went out of his way to help us with sightseeing when we told them we did not have a car. Highly recommended!

It was a beautiful place to stay with a lovely room and a modern bathroom attached. The old style was really beautiful with the dark wood. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We stayed 4 nights and used it as a base for Kamikochi and the wasabi farm and cycle in Azumino as well as the Castle in Matsumoto itself.
