"Sweet historic little cottage with precious garden, modern kitchen and comfy bed. Stairs are very narrow if you have mobility issues. Bring a sleeping mask as one room is very bright in the morning, due to skylights that make the room cheerful. Had trouble finding it because google map is incorrect. It is located on a very very narrow alleyway and the ivy covered fence has no signage on the outside! You open the green gate in the midst of the ivy covered fence! Lovely spot. Hope to return soon!"

"This stay at Blackthorn went above and beyond what I needed - some time and space for myself to write. In the comfort and peace of this hut in this location, I was able to write nearly 10,000 words, unheard of in my everyday busy life at home! "I booked this apartment for my family of 4 on the day and because we were so caught up in our trip we forgot to notify the host. We arrived in the evening and despite us not having given them a heads up first, the apartment was sorted and in impeccable state. The bed was extremely comfortable, kitch and bathroom very clean. "Kitchen and floors were not clean at all. Food still stuck to cutlery and dirty glasses. Grubby work tops. Lots of cobwebs in the house, which is due to lack of cleaning. Bed & bathroom were clean enough. No mirrors in any of the rooms, we had to share 1 mirror in the landing between 5 girls which isn’t that great. To be honest if you’re not overly fussy or care where you stay it’s a great location and quiet village. "
