"We stayed at the BW State Fair Inn in Sedalia after my first day on a through ride on the Katy Trail. The hotel was an old style "doors-on-the-outside" hotel circa the 1970s and no elevator to the second floor. However, the experience there was very good. The staff was very efficient and friendly upon check in. The rooms were spotless, the water hot and the beds very clean and comfortable. The breakfast the next day was excellent. Real, organic scrambled eggs rather than the powdered eggs you get from some of the other hotel chains. We ended up making breakfast tacos with the eggs and leftover fajitas in the microwave which were delicious. The hotel was only a couple of minutes from the Fairgrounds trailhead which was very convenient. "

"The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the amenities were great (the kids loved the bowling alley!) [Alas, since we visited off-season & mid-week, the indoor water park was closed. ] (We went off-resort for donut breakfast, but the on-location breakfast looked tasty but $$$) "
