Historic prison was very interestingly restored. Grounds were beautiful. Cafe just across from hotel with lovely outdoor seating and views. Fabulous buffet breakfast every day.

An inexpensive hotel in a good place

Old prison cells that are transformed to hotel rooms are quite funny even if not very practical. If you travel alone it does not matter that much but for two they are too small.

Terrific vibe, once you realize this facility was formerly a prison and has been historically preserved with conscious care and attention. Don’t expect expansive luxurious room sizes and embrace functional simplicity with all creature comforts that are reasonable for the traveler.

Prisonhotell in a oasis!

We stayed for the night due to a concertvisit. Rooms are tidy, friendly servicepeople. Rooms are quite small, appx 2,5x3 meters plus bathroom and windows a bit high up, gets you an idea really of how it was to be in prison here. Breakfast was great and their museum about the prison really nice and interesting. The area around the hotell is a really nice oasis to stroll around in.

Långholmen has become my regular hotel when visiting in Stockholm. Not a boring business hotel. Clean and reasonably priced for anyone who does not mind walking a bit and is happy with a small room (literally, a prison cell). The breakfast quality is one of the best ever, makes me happy every time.

Het hotel is een prachtig gebouw, volledig in gevangenisthema, wat voor een bijzondere sfeer zorgt. De kamer was wat klein, maar gezellig en knus ingericht. De badkamer is compact, maar netjes en functioneel. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en erg lekker, een echte aanrader. Ook de ligging is fijn: rustige omgeving met leuke wandelpaadjes, en toch voldoende centraal. Voor wie met de fiets komt, is dit een prima uitvalsbasis. De parking ligt vlakbij, wat handig is. Het enige minpuntje was de wat trage check-in. Kortom: een unieke verblijfservaring met een goede ligging, lekker ontbijt en alles wat je nodig hebt voor een comfortabel verblijf.

Frukostbuffén var jättebra, mycket att välja på. Jättefin badställe endast 2 min bort från hotellet. Unika cellrum som har en historia bakom sig. Det var en fin vistelse.
