"Considering the price, we had high hopes for our stay at this house, but unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. Upon arrival, we found the property was not very clean. There was urine left in the upstairs toilet, the downstairs bathroom was dusty with hair around the toilet, and the bath mat had been folded up while still wet. "We have stayed in many hotels Portsmouth and were pleasantly surprised with the Holiday Inn. Parking was available, safe and easy. Ana who checked us in was efficient and friendly. The hotel and our room was spotless. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. Breakfast was included in the price and we enjoyed the selection. The quality of the coffee was excellent 👌 Would definitely book again."

"Upon arrival to the hotel we were immediately impressed by the grounds and the buildings. The car park is big so there is no worry about finding a space in which to park. The Reception staff were very friendly and checked us in without any issue. All staff were helpful and courteous in dealing with us during our stay. Our room was spacious, well equipped with tea /coffee making facilities, an iron and ironing board, hairdryer and a tower fan which came in useful during the warm nights. The bathroom was clean and tidy. There was a decent buffet breakfast with both hot and cold options, and the food was replenished frequently. We visited the Sports Bar for food and drinks whilst the Qatar v Switzerland game was on, service was friendly and fast. We enjoyed a carvery meal on the Sunday evening, again the food was hot, plentiful and delicious! We enjoyed a couple of drinks at the The Deers Hut pub which is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Great atmosphere there too. We made use of the swimming pool, which thankfully, was warm. Towels are provided so no need to bring your own. You can get locker keys by swapping your room card. Definitely a place to revisit."

"I stayed on a business trip. The hotel was perfect. It was very comfortable and all of the staff I met were really great. The evening meal was delicious, as was the freshly made full fried breakfast. So much better in every way to the Premier Inns that I normally stay in for work. And….its on the beach so the best end to my long drive was having a beer looking at the sea. I don’t know if I’m going to be back down that way again, but if I am will definitely stay at this hotel."
