Breakfast buffet all very good, nice selection and freshly cooked. Staff all very helpful and efficient. These hotels are the very essence of the English seaside, but, cost a fortune to upkeep, and now they have to try and compete with the likes of airb&b! I love these old places and hope that they can continue offering good accommodation with style for many years to come."

"On the whole our stay was a very pleasant experience. Our room was light airy and cool in the heatwave. The beds clean and comfortable. Decent shower/ bath. Not sure if the small towel in the bathroom was a hand towel or bathmat. The only disappointment was the very basic breakfast, just flake or some round cereal. No muesli, yoghurt, and NO fruit. Bananas are the cheapest fruit going. The cooked breakfast, made to order was good . Nice to have use of the large garden. Few minutes walk to the sea with pasing buses to take you back up the hill "

The owner/staff are lovely, the room and amenities were superb and the breakfast is the best we’ve ever had, cooked perfectly and it just tasted lovely. Can’t recommend this place enough.
