"Great breakfast choice, and very tasty full English."

"Absolutely lovely hotel, stayed there as was attending a Xmas party. Check in was great, room was big, very clean and plenty of towels etc. Tea & coffee was great, nice fresh ground coffee bags a nice change from sachets of instant coffee. Breakfast was amazing, plenty of choice, refreshed quickly with very nicely cooked quality food. Table menu was very good too, I opted for 2 poached eggs which were absolutely perfect and again lovely dark rich yolks which you only get with good quality eggs. We didn’t use the leisure facilities on this occasion but would next time. Thanks for a great experience. Ed & Mel room 31"

"I was very pleased with the hotel, a lot better than the Travel lodge I stayed in the previous day. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Very nice and quiet rooms with everything you would need on hand. "

"Lovely quirky room (Africa). Stayed with two dogs who each had beds, bowls and treats provided.. lovely bakery for breakfast where you could choose your breakfast items. Everyone very friendly and great pub (kings arms) opposite for evening food and drink. Perfect place"

"This hotel is in an excellent position to the town. The staff were efficient and friendly and the breakfast was the best we've had in a hotel for a long time. Unfortunately the hotel is is need of an update. We had the first room (51) on the ground floor. This backed onto a courtyard outside the kitchen. It was noisy and there was a "hume" from some kind of machinery that kept kicking in. The heating was not on in the evening, despite it being only 2 degrees outside. For the sake of convenience, we would stay again."

"Once again, excellent. Room was clean and warm (we arrived on a cold evening). Polite staff. We were lucky to be able to try a different suite to previous visits and enjoyed the lay out of this one as much as the others. Hoping to stay again early 2026."
