we stayed when it was 35 - 40 degrees Celsius and they have no air conditioning. They did offer us a fan. The closest restaurant we found was 10 - 15 min walk away. We went for the museum which is close enough to walk and it was excellent.

No air conditioning in the rooms (but lobby has it). 103F / 39.4C (July 2019) is way too hot for that. Even when it cooled down, the room was still too warm. The hallway to the room smells like a sewer. The bathroom smells like a sewer. The shower is tiny, leaks and has a cheap shower head setup. On the plus side, the location is fantastic.

good hotel next door to Speyer museum
Very good hotel, few steps from Syper museum. It offers possibility of family rooms - two rooms together. Comfortable. Average/good wifi, not working everywhere. Average breakfast (still fine for a 3 stars hotels, plenty of room to improve). Walking distance to city, which offers plenty variation of restaurants. Better option compared to the hotel at technic museum, prices and quality

Great value for money in good location
This is a good value-for-money hotel in an excellent location. I had requested a double bed, but as I was single occupancy was given a single. This was fine though as the price was very good. The only thing that could be better is that there is no air-conditioning in the rooms and it was very hot during my stay.

Quiet comfort on Speyer.
The hotel is a little out of the way but an easy walk to the museum and the Dom. Staff very friendly and helpful, parking available. Bed awesome, room very clean, however a random sock was left from a previous guest under the chair. It wasn't bad, just attention to detail. No AC. Would stay here again, easy drive between Stuttgart, Heidelberg and Strasbourg.

Great location, great hotel.
Stayed 2 nights, hotel was clean, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good overall a fair choice. Speyer is a very pretty town, and is very clean. Will definitely visit again.

Booked and paid for a double room, after travelling for 12hrs I was issued with a single room. I was told this was because I was 'single' and the hotel was fully booked. I had observed someone walk in off the street directly in front of me and order a double room! I got one in the end. The temperature was almost 40 degrees, there is NO air con in the rooms and no fans to be got, had to take constant cold showers to cool down!

Great hotel, worthy of the Ibis brand. It's a good 25 minute walk from the train station but close to the Technik Museum. We stayed at Speyer to visit the museum. The hotel is spacious and modern with good size rooms, free tea, coffee and water in the lobby and a good breakfast room. Breakfast was the usual continental buffet but very good and plentiful. The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful.

Good Budget Hotel
The Ibis is a perfectly acceptable budget hotel , the Wifi can be slow but generally okay and the local highway passes close to the Hotel so in Summer the road can be noisy if the window is open. Please note the rooms are not air conditioned

One of the best places to stay in Speyer.
When we arrived the check-in staff were very helpful and our room was very clean, comfortable and relaxing. The Ibis is a short walk from the Dom, Tech museum and has easy connections to motorway. We had a very nice buffet breakfast, that had a very good selection of fresh fruit, yogurts and smoothies. This was a very nice change from the usual breakfast one gets in the area. Our room was clean and comfortable. All of the staff were very helpful. But watch out for some of the locals. They can be very rude, since there does not seem to be a German word for 'excuse me'.

This was short business stay of two nights. The Ibis chosen through price and availability on the date of travel. The room was entirely comfortable. On arrival however there was no hand soap or shower gel in the bathroom, typically in a lower end hotel the toiletries are in a bottle bolted to the wall and both were completely empty. The bathrooms have always had an unpleasant aroma at this hotel, this room was no exception. Its bearable just keep your bathroom door shut. Internet was dreadful but its normally very good and the carpark was completely full which is surprising considering they charge you €5 extra to use it. I parked out on the road for free, this was not a great start. I left messages to have the bathroom refilled and all was good thereafter. The hotel does not serve any decaff coffee which is disappointing but overall a good hotel on a budget.

Very easy access to hotel via car. Five minutes pleasant walk to the center of this very beautiful town. Pleasant and helpful staff. Elevator was out during my visit but hey things happen. They changed my room down one floor to make the luggage situation easier. Breakfast was a bit more basic than I'd experienced in other German hotels but compared to the free breakfasts in the States, it was terrific. Room more interesting than comparable places I stayed and comfortable.

We stayed here during a four week motorcycle tour of Europe. The hotel was exactly what we expected, having spent time in other hotels from this chain. The location is very good for the Technik Museum but the hotel is a bit overpriced.

This is an excellent Hotel if you have the right room. Good, if not somewhat expensive, restaurant with a bar menu also available. Great Spa facilities and excellent if you can get the room on a deal rate. Would recommend. Restaurant staff let the service level down.

Cracking little budget hotel near the centre
We spent two nights here and I must say, for the price, it was very good value for money. Our requirements included free Wi-Fi, parking and breakfast and it was the closest hotel to the centre of Speyer - which was very close! Rooms were comfy and clean and the staff were eager to help and friendly. Don't be expecting a gourmet breakfast though as it's pretty limited and basic but having said that, I couldn't complain about the quality as I'm not fussy with food and it was all fresh and tasty. I recommend this hotel for those on a driving holiday.

Walking distance to everything
This modern hotel was within walking distance to the cathedral, Christmas Markets and main street. It was also an easy walk to the Technic Museum. We booked a family room, and were given two adjoining rooms, so we had plenty of room. The breakfast buffet provided a great start to each morning.

A very good hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. The Ibis Style does offer a much more comfortable room and general hotel ambience. The inclusive breakfast was also well received and was of a very good standard, offering a wide choice of foods and drinks.

The staff expected our lte arrival and were very knowledgable and polite speaking Engish without a problem. the hotel is well designed with a light and comfortable public area. Car parking is no problem and there is easy access to the centre of the town.

Staff very helpfull and hotel very clean. Sadly lift not working and due to the fact the weather was so hot, room uncomfortably hot at night. Air conditioning would have been nice. Noisy due to fair but people having fun !
