"Grand, historic charm characterize the experience here. The hotel was built in 1893, so the building had its quirks, but these add to the distinctive atmosphere. Again the building is quite old, and our suite did not have a thermostat nor an exhaust fan in the bathroom, but it was comfortable nonetheless, as the ceiling fan and open windows did the trick. "

"The Ameristar Black Hawk is a great place to stay whether you plan to gamble or not. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are clean and staff is friendly. Not sure how they were able to build it in the middle of the mountains. Large parking garage connected to the hotel and multiple restaurants onsite. We stayed one night on our way from Idaho Springs to Estes Park."
