Loved the location of being nearer the old side of Kyoto. Spacious lobby was lovely along with rooftop bar. Balance between sympathetic design and modern luxury. Breakfast was excellent and very varied to others we had in Japan. Room was good and a generous size. Ground floor didn’t have much light but that was okay as we were out all day. The place to go if you want the feel of Ryokan but want the modern amenities. Each room is gorgeous, and so well thought down to the tiniest detail. Would put it at the level of the Four Seasons or Park Hyatt. The wooden gated entry to every room, with its own rock garden makes it feel like you are coming home. The welcome locally made sweets and tea/cold towels at check in are some of the touches that make the place special. The only downside is the lack of a proper gym.

Had Japanese breakfast which was very tasty. Staff were extremely helpful and polite. Room was comfy. Location great.

Did not use either of the facilities

Stayed in the Pokémon room - fantastic experience for our 11 year old (and us). Very spacious room with dining table, sofa and bunk beds. Not a huge amount within walking distance of the hotel (although Teamlabs is a couple of minutes away), but as the name suggests it’s extremely convenient for the station and transport links. Convenient laundry room but no vending machines on site - 7-eleven is just around the corner.

Great hotel for a family of 4 who all want their own bed!

It was a luxurious and beautiful hotel. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were excellent and some of it was fantastic, The art deco was very nice and pretty. Had all the amenities you’d need. Beautiful marble bathroom with a deep bath. However the only thing I was disappointed by was you can’t order fries or a burger on the in room dining night menu. Excellent hotel. Very friendly staff and room and location was great

Check in was easy, we upgraded our rooms and were shown other rooms we could change to. Very clean all looks new. Free coffees, teas, soft drinks and ice lollies all day. Breakfast available too but had a selection of cereal, mixed fruit, croissants, bread and a pancake maker. Also had scrambled eggs, sausages. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Great apartment

We spent 05 nights in Imagine Hotel Kyoto from 21 to 26 Dec 2025. A cozy and warm space near the Grand Kyoto Station and Avanti Kyoto Shopping Mall. Great Hotel crew especially Axe helping us with our queries. The shared lounge is amazing where we cooked our breakfast there daily. The owner himself met us on our 2nd day, and wish us to have a great stay in his hotel. Overall a very nice place for family, which include my wife and 03 kids (age 13 to 17).
