"Room was very newly remodeled. It looked amazing.
Although the beds appear to be made with cover blankets that smelled of curry. They are like the old school 70’s cover blankets that matched the curtains. And the second blanket also had a musty smell. So we had to remove both to sleep in the beds with just a top sheet. Thank god weather has changed and it wasn’t cold so we could sleep
Comfortably.
They need to keep up with their bedding and new towels to match the hotel upgrades. Hope it’s just because it’s the beginning of the season and this all gets corrected before people start paying top dollar to stay here. "
"Hotel is nice and clean, room is good, beds are comfortable
Breakfast is very disappointing, On website was mentioned Breakfast made to order, this is not the case. When we get to the breakfast area, on top of the table was 2 muffins, frozen small premade patty with cheese and sausage, and the guy in charge saying “ This is sample”. And……. I have to ask him for other same sandwich and also ask to put it in microwave, same with muffin. No coffee was made in advance, It was an empty Coffee pot on the shelf, again we were waiting for the same guy to bring a coffee to the breakfast area. For this breakfast Expedia charged me extra 24$ for two people. After speaking to manger about breakfast quality, he agreed to return back money for Breakfast, but I did not see any changes on my Expedia bill. Hope Sonesta will change their breakfast to something they are advertising. In general hotel is very nice."
"Remote, TV, hardware on sink/tub, mirror...lots of fingerprints. The front desk reception/greeter made us feel we were disturbing her, no smiles upon greeting/check In. There was toast, dry bagels for breakfast ONLY, coffee wasn't even made!!! Parking was fine. Fire alarm with fire trucks had us evacuate at 3:30am. Smokers w/dog always blocking the entrance of door we entered/exited. Beds comfortable and they changed out towels each day, appreciated that. "
"Overall we had an amazing experience! Rachel, our waitress at Landshark restaurant was our first impression of the resort since we arrived early and had lunch to kill some time. Let me just say, she was beyond perfection! That girl's customer service abilities were top knotch! She is meant for management! A manager came to our table as well and even checked on our reservation for us at the front desk while we ate; in hopes we could check in early! We were very impressed with her doing that for us! When we went to check in, there was a man working the front desk (young, blonde gentleman) who seemed to be annoyed when his manager (a delightful woman with long black hair) or anyone for that matter that talked to him. He was young so you don’t expect perfection, but again…Rachel in the restaurant was also young and she absolutely crushed her customer service skills! He just wasn’t personable. Some people are just not meant for hospitality jobs l guess, but hopefully this was just an off day….we all have those! My only other complaint was the lifeguards…I get that it is probably not fun (or well paid) to sit by a loud pool all day, but I’d say 4 out of 6 of the lifeguards we saw looked MISERABLE the whole time we were there;just MEAN MUGGIN! The cleaning staff however were so friendly and pleasant-not only did they say hello but they would thank us for visiting…and they weren’t even taking care of OUR rooms. We truly enjoyed our stay, and we would recommend this hotel to friends."
"The rooms are clean enough, clearly well-maintained and some are new.
Beds were clean and fresh, as was bedding. The problem here wasn't labor or care. The bedding and bed were both poor quality. When other reviews say the walls were thin, listen. You could hear the televisions of other guests on different floors. It was nearly impossible to sleep.
If a hotel has one job above every other job, it's giving you a place to sleep. This one failed there."
