Zhangjiajie National Park Nvue Resorts

"We truly enjoyed our stay at Zhangjiajie National Park Nvue Resorts. The location is fantastic—peaceful and relaxed, yet incredibly close to the park’s Middle Gate. Right behind the property, there are lovely walking and hiking paths that lead to scenic rice fields, local coffee shops, and restaurants. At the same time, it is highly convenient for visiting downtown and other top attractions like 72 Qilou and Huanglong Cave. The hotel's restaurant is also excellent, serving traditional local Tujia food that you absolutely must try at least once during your stay. What sets this resort apart is the flawless customer service. The staff speaks excellent English, and we were able to seamlessly communicate with them via WeChat both before and during our stay to answer any questions. Since we were only visiting for the weekend, we hired Robert as our park guide for a day. He did an amazing job tailoring the itinerary to our preferences and ensuring we got the full Zhangjiajie experience in a short timeframe. For the rest of the weekend, he went above and beyond acting as our informal concierge—suggesting great local spots to eat and visit, arranging tickets, and offering advice that made our stay unforgettable. We will definitely be back!"

"Amazing views and designed. Clean, friendly staff that works hard. My only complaints are the shower isn't well designed it has a lot of standing water all the time as it doesn't drain, and there's no real service at the pool area, you have to hunt someone down. The buffet for breakfast was fine, nothing special but pretty in how they set it up. I didn't try the expensive restaurant as they wanted to charge $300 a person for the tasting menu. Insane pricing really - we ate for $20-30 a night amazing meals in town - so I do recommend just taking a Didi to town and eating there, really wonderful restaurants and pairs well by escaping that chaos in Yangshuo for the peaceful hotel settings. Cleaning crew and driver special shout out for being great. Spa was very nicely done, but again, just wildly overpriced"
Zhangjiajie XMAN Tianmen Resort

"This a beautiful stay near Tianmen Mountain. The staff is so nice and really help with arrangements with Zhangjiajie activities including tickets. To arrive from Zhangjiejia west station I had to tell Didi driver Qiman Tianmen Resort instead of XMAN and it worked. (it's on Amaps). I loved the mattress and projector screen was cool. The food available from the lobby restaurant was so good. Breakfast and dinner both available."

"The place was great and convenient for accessing Tianmen Mountain. The only issues we ran into was that we had a round trip airport shuttle, but the hotel said they don’t do that and it’s only a one-way service. As well, the hotel shuts off their AC in the room prior to check out. We had a late check out and by 11AM, our hotel was reading 25C when we supposedly had the AC blasting. However, the staff was great and breakfast was delicious."

"The room was clean, the staff went above and beyond, free laundry ready at 6am at our door the next day. Helped us switch our tickets for the park that is 3 min walk away and came with us to do it on our behalf, thought I miss placed something inside the hotel and they went straight to the cameras to track the item down but I found where it was moments later but it shows the level of care! Great communication through the WeChat app, breakfast was great. Free “tea” in later afternoon after 4 was nice and a nice cake cocktail and tea included. And nighttime porridge delivered and ready in your room. All these little extra signs of care made this hotel one of my favourites in my travels."

"Rooms: Automated lighting and blinds that remember the last setting. Black out options as well as privacy. Numerous lighting options and switch access within the room does make a difference. Large bed with soft bedding. Big TV loaded with an array of films in English. Nice separate bathroom and wardrobe, room is spacious and equipped with complimentary water and capsules. Cleaning lady Alice was friendly. Extensive hotel supper menu that is also fully available for in-room eating. Variety of seating areas and facilities meant I didn't feel confined to my room. stylish bar, cafe and breakfast area so the stay doesnt feel repetitive. Breakfast consists of buffet options that include healthy vegetables aswell as local delicacies. Selection of juices and alternative milks such as almond breeze. Breakfast boys, i think one was called John, were attentive checking in for coffee orders etc., Female and male staff gave a good first impression of China such as Bryan and Brigitte. Local mall nearby with typical dishes served when the restaurant at the hotel is busy. Pool is a great asset, lighting and music create the right ambience. Leisure staff helpful and smiley. Front desk staff tried their best to help and speak English rather well."
