South Bucks District Trip

Great location next to Earl’s Court tube station.

Very clean throughout. Towels were changed every day & bins emptied.Fab breakfast!

Breakfast was the high point. But a low point was the limited availability of of electrical outlets in the room … I could only find two … neither at the head of the bed for my Bi-Pap. We also had problems communicating our need to stay an additional night, and were locked out forcing us to speak with the manager on duty. After presenting our case (that we had be assured it was resolved) we were charged double the rate to extend us the privilege. Had we known this would happen in advance, we would have most certainly have chosen another venue.

The breakfast was great, the hotel was very clean and enjoyable to be in.

On a positive note, the Hotel staff are brilliant kind and helpful. The shower room was immaculately clean, loads of hot water, good shower and clean towels daily. The bed was very comfy. There was a lovely old fireplace with the original tiles. The reception is manned 24 hours. It is a 3 min walk from Paddington mainline station and Paddington underground. Loads of good restaurants and cafes. BUT the hotel has building works going on from 8 till 4 weekdays wh are very noisy and intrusive. Due I believe to end by Christmas, but avoid till then. The room was gloomy and claustrophobic. Brown ceiling. The carpets throughout the hotel felt grimy. You can hear the sound and sometimes feel the vibrations of the underground trains every minute or so from.5 am to midnight. No coffee or tea making facilities in the room but available in.a lower ground floor room wh for me was down 4 flights of stairs and 6 heavy fire doors. I bought my own mug as only tiny paper cups were provided for this. I believe normally there is breakfast provided but the hotel restaurant was being used a dump for the builders' materials. Lots of local places to eat, though. I definitely will be avoiding this hotel in.future. the area is dodgy as well, and my purse was stolen from my handbag in the street. That was my own carelessness and hasn't influenced my review. The Hotel staff were very concerned for me and I really appreciate them all.
