Agnes was amazing. Phoned ahead to say we would be delayed and arrive after front desk closed. Quickly sent a text to me detailing room no. Room code and wi-fi code. Took pressure off us on our late flight. Next morning she gave us some free coffees as we missed breakfast. A bubbly super friendly and helpful lady. Directions, iron borrowing etc. Room clean quiet cool (41 degrees outside!) Cleaning staff all running around motivated and efficient. Thoroughly recommended.

What a lovely hotel to stay for a few days and explore the local area. Our room was very clean and comfortable with aircon and a minibar. The pool area was stunning and a perfect place to cool down in the recent heatwave. Christine was so welcoming and suggested different places to visit whilst we were there. Yes it’s up a hill but really not too bad to walk back up from the town if you take it steady. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sarlat.

We had a wonderful stay despite the weather being mixed. The spa was a lovely treat when sitting by the pool wasn’t appealing - although make sure you book your hour as it fills up quickly. We had a lovely evening in the bar with music and tapas - it was meant to be in the rose garden but equally lovely. Amazing. Fabulous property, great facilities including pool. Lots of parking. Excellent customer service from the get-go. On site restaurant was absolutely outstanding. Food amazing and service could not be faulted. Great breakfast too! If satnav takes you to narrow white gate, it’s difficult entry angle. Keep going round the hotel to wider gate and easier access round other side! Reception is at the back of hotel.

The Maison de Tari is a perfect place to stay for families looking to explore the area around Sarlat. We stayed in a family room with three small children and it suited us perfectly. All rooms had a separate outside sitting area with a large table. It had a good sized pool, a separate communal cooking and dining area, including a gas BBQ and a fridge. A great continental breakfast was provided that included fresh pastries from the local bakery, and a selection of local jams, cheeses and meats....
