We really enjoyed our stay at this villa. The room was simple but well appointed. Clean and very comfortable. The villa is located in a hill within the trees above the river. Very quiet and peaceful. The attached restaurant was excellent, but was only serving one of the nights we were there because they were hosting a wedding on the weekend. This made food options very limited. Luckily we had a car and could get ourselves to some outstanding restaurants in local villages. We highly recommend La Villa Romaine.

Un excellent séjour dans un hôtel de charme avec ses trois bâtiments en pierre locale, dans un très joli environnement dans la vallée de la Dordogne. Un accueil chaleureux, une très belle chambre, spacieuse, claire et climatisée, une très conviviale salle de restaurant et une superbe piscine.

Room was very nice for such a reasonable price. We ate at the restaurant once which is a bit fancy but still fairly priced for dinner. We especially liked the oversized but very soft towels.

Hôtel sympathique et original à 10 km de Sarlat

De passage dans la région, j'ai passé une nuit à l'hôtel. La chambre était spacieuse et confortable. Le cadre est charmant avec la Dordogne en contrebas et une piscine bien placée. Seul bémol, je m'attendais à mieux du petit déjeuner qui reste tout de même très correct.

Magical estate in Perigord Noir

I spent 2 nights at the Villa with my 2 children. We enjoyed this beautiful country side estate in the magnificent Dordogne/Perigord Nord. The owners did a fabulous job at turning this old stone estate into a comfortable hotel without damaging its authenticity.

Chambre à prix très excessif

Inadmissible pour une chambre de ce prix: - Oreillers très mous. - Télévision à regarder à travers les barreaux du lit (unique en son genre-ce n'est même pas le cas à Fleury-Mérogis). 5 malheureuses chaînes françaises à cette télévision (moins que de chaînes anglo-saxonnes!!!) pas de câble ni de satellite et pas de TNT non plus (un record-même les "Formule Un" font mieux). - Parking privé certes mais sur un terrain de l'autre côté de la route et donc sans aucune sécurité.
