Great location for anyone looking to be close to town like we were! Hotel manager was very kind and accommodating of our travel plans. Bed was on the firm side but definitely a gem for a great price!

Great place to stay and have access to Sorrento City Center, driver pickup, Amalfi Coast tours, boat excursions, etc. Really cute place. The Balcony room was fun and allowed our group of 4 to share coffee in the morning as we planned our day and at night talk about our day adventures before retiring.

Such a great location and close to the main square for shopping/dining. It sits on a private lane so you get central location with quiet evenings! The staff was so helpful when we arrived and we had everything we needed, I would recommend to anyone coming to Sorrento!

Great location with so many options for eating, shopping and overall things to do. We took many tours and were picked up right outside our private gated area. Only one where we had to walk for a food and wine tour which was only a five minute walk. Angela our host was always available to accommodate or answer questions and make recommendations or provide directions. It is a very small hotel with seven rooms but met our basic needs. Definitely a no frills hotel. However if you’re a person who spends time in a room for resting and preparing outside activities the La Magnolia is ideal. If you’re looking g for a luxury or spa experience La Magnolia probably isn’t for you. For us it was perfect and nicely priced.

A must stay in Sorrento

The owner Claudio went out his way to make our stay the best, with great recommendations on restaurants, and due to a rail strike he helped with finding us alternative transportation to Naples so we wouldn’t miss our train to Rome. The location is perfect within the town center making everything an easy walk. The rooms are very clean with maid service every day.

Claudio was an amazing host at this quaint and conveniently located hotel. He went out of his way to help us have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We felt very happy to learn a little about the area and found lovely restaurants and places to visit. The hotel is clean and had everything we needed for our stay in beautiful Sorrento.

We truly enjoyed our stay and the place hotel was in a very convenient area located near all the restaurants, shops and ports. We were very surprised that the unit we were in did not have a window, I know... who thinks to ask if the room has a window? There is no one there to ask questions and there was no laundry or breakfast available as stated on the website. These was a coffee machine, but it didn't work. All in all I would stay there again, but I think the website should better represent what's available.

Claudio was Awesome! He went out of his way to make sure my wife and myself were taken care of. He went out of his way several times in regards to our comfort. The property is in the middle of everything. Couldn’t ask for a better stay and customer service. He actually saved us due to my error on stay dates! He will return and stay with him for sure. Proprietor Claudio made himself available whenever I had a question. He was kind enough to make multiple recommendations of places to eat, visit and see, even for other places in other cities; walked me to locations to ensure I found the right place; set up a last-minute tour that I wanted to do; and took time to talk with and get to know me. He not only has connections all across the city of Sorrento and beyond, but he genuinely cares about his guests having an exceptional time. Be aware that La Magnolia does not have some amenities like an elevator/lift for second-floor rooms or a breakfast, but there are plenty of places within a five-minute walk that do offer sit-down or takeaway service. Would absolutely stay again. The rooms are also very charming and classic.

Excellent choice for Central Sorrento.

Claudio was our host and was very friendly and had lots of suggestions for things to do. He directed us to two fabulous family restaurants. One restaurant was very close. He walked with us and introduced us to the husband and wife team. We loved Stefanos playlist…which was heard in every room. We also loved the food and went back the next day. The hotel room was sufficient and clean. The entrance to the property is a large metal gate because this is also the family home. This small hotel has seven rooms and in a great location for walking most places. But if you need a ride, Taxi service is outside across the street. It was an excellent choice for us.

Claudio’s property is situated in the most perfect spot for someone looking to experience Sorrento and the touristy activities accessible via Sorrento like the amalfi coast or even a Pompeii/vesuvius excursion. Claudio also has many useful connections in the town which will help make your experience more personal and memorable. The room itself was very comfortable with great AC. The furniture was all very nice and it felt extremely safe. The property is located behind a metal gate which adds to the feeling of safety. Sorrento as a whole feels very safe but the extra insurance in an unfamiliar place is welcome. Claudio himself is an excellent host and a great conversationalist. He is not only an interesting person but he is very helpful and was available via WhatsApp for any questions or needs during my stay. Being able to have a “boots on the ground” connection when looking for the best breakfast or the best place for drinks is extremely useful. Would definitely stay here again.
