"We chose to stay, having done so about 6 years ago, and as before this was a wonderful hotel in every way. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the rooms are large with comfy beds (we had a Mountain View room), and the breakfast is fantastic. Hence there is no need to stay in the sub-par Fuggerhof where you are put into a basement room while the unfriendly front desk staff tries to up-sell you into an above ground room - as if that were a special feature. Just to be clear - there was no mention of below ground rooms during booking and the basement room wasn't a walkout basement but did have a small window at the top of the wall, eye-level with the grass roots of the ill...

"Don't plan on skiing early, as the front desk manager refuses to check you out before 8 am. Also, parking is limited and the property is totally overpriced for its condition. The front desk manager on March 2, 2025 literally yelled at guests who wanted to check out at 7:35 am, despite assurances from the previous day's shift. Never seen any Hotel staff in the world being that unprofessional and angry!!"

"No water in the room, only one set of towels despite booked 2ppl, battery of remote control broken, no soap in the shower, door to staircase broken, elevator not stopping in the ground floor,... All these small things sum up to having made it quite unpleasant for the amount of money paid"

Holiday weekend with a great view.

"We have stayed here twice now. It is a small traditional hotel. Set at the edge of town, it has an unobstructed and amazing view of the valley and mountains. Rooms are clean and the breakfast is very good. The room also came with a Allgäu-Walser-Card which was a great savings. Not sure if this was a special offer or a normal practice. "
