Oberstdorf lies at the foot of the Nebelhorn and is the third largest municipality in Bavaria. There are even accessible routes for people with disabilities. Or use the Fellhornbahn railway to get to the Two-Country Hiking Area between Fellhorn and Kanzelwand. This family-friendly hiking area is known especially for its gorgeous sea of Alpine flowers.
You can reach the Söllereck family-friendly area on the Söllereckbahn railway. It has the "German Service Quality" seal of approval. This region is especially good for lengthy family walks. Many of the paths are suitable for prams. At the top station of the Söllereckbahn you'll find a forest ropes course, the highest altitude one in Germany, which will challenge adventurers young and old alike.
On your trip to Oberstdorf don't miss visiting the Schattenberg Ski Jump, one of the most beautiful and modern ski jumping hills in the world. From the top of the ski jump you have an impressive view of the mountains around Oberstdorf. There is a lift so you'll find it no effort to get there. The Skywalk Allgäu high ropes course is just the place for thrill seekers. You can demonstrate your climbing skills at heights of up to 30 metres in between the ski jumps.
