The view over the water, islands and mountains is incredibly beautiful and not to be missed. The owners are very friendly and very accommodating. We had a special vegetarian lunch which was delicious and plentiful. The sauna with a view was so fun and relaxing. It is on the dock where you can jump in the water if you dare! It is cold and refreshing. It is worth the commute into Stavanger, about 30 minutes, to be on this peaceful and lovely island at this welcoming, homey place.

It was as advertised, a cabin at a campground early in the season. Bring your own bedding and towels or pay 120NOK each. We enjoyed walking along the beach boardwalk also other trails nearby. It took about 25 minutes to drive to Kristiansand center.

We had an amazing time due to the great Feriensenter team. The compound has great conditions, the pool water is warm, the pool is amazing, and offers a great way to have a lot of fun. The beach is great and perfect for kids.

Vi hadde et fantastisk opphold på Åros Camping! Området er rent, pent og godt vedlikeholdt. De ansatte er hyggelige, imøtekommende og gjør sitt beste for at gjestene skal trives. Beliggenheten er flott, med kort vei til strand og fine aktiviteter. Dette er et perfekt sted for både familier og andre som ønsker en avslappende ferie. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake og anbefaler Åros Camping på det varmeste!

Stinkende opphold

Familie på 4 som bodde 2 netter i en liten hytte. Selve hyttene er helt greie. De er små, men det fremgår av bildene. Det er kjøleskap, toalett og en liten dusj. Hytten vår var plassert i nærheten av bosskontainerne på campingen. Disse tømmes åpenbart alt for sjeldent, da de var overfylte og det fløt av boss rundt. I tillegg stinket det kraftig. Med fire stk. sovende på et lite rom i varme sommerdager må man naturligvis ha vinduet åpent, så den herlige duften av søppel fylte soverommet. I tillegg er det tilsynelatende ingen regler her, så man kan bråke så mye man vil, døgnet rundt. Vi var også så heldige at det var plassert bord og benker rett utenfor, som samlet de røykeglade gjestene. Så vi fikk gleden av å sove i en kombinasjon av søppellukt og røykelukt. Selve området er fint, og strandområdet er idyllisk. På bilder. Sanden på stranden hadde hatt godt av rydding. Her flyter det sneiper, korker, plast og annet søppel. Ungene våre omdøpte den til "søppelsanden". Bassenget er sikkert fint, men det koster 100 kr per person å benytte det. Så 400 kr for et lite bad for en familie, per dag. Ikke rart at dette ikke nevnes noe sted hverken på nettsidene eller når man bestiller. Det er vanskelig å anbefale dette stedet, spesielt til barnefamilier.

Enkle og greie hytter. Det du trenger på kjøkken, til og med micro. Litt harde senger eneste. Kjempe kjekk campingplass med mye kjekt for voksne og barn.

Det er en familiecamping med masser af larm fra børn og unge. Meget trafik og stor overbelægning på pladsen, hver en m2 skulle udnyttes til camping. Kan ikke anbefales hvis man ønsker ro om dagen/aften. Ok hytte der er veludstyret.
