"One of my favorite things about Manava was the authentic Polynesian vibe. Beautiful place, wonderful staff. Loved being able to snorkel off our own deck - did a premium overwater bungalow for 2 days and private soaking pool bungalow for 1 day. It was fun to experience both types of rooms. The beautiful infinity pool was amazing. We just had a wonderful stay and would love to return again!"
"We've stayed at the Intercontinental here many times and it continues to make us smile. This time was wonderful - especially the quality of the buffet dinners. Always a welcoming place that is dependable to take care of you with always weird arrival and departure times."
"Checkout was very very long! Order your taxi in advance and it goes by room number or name for that I almost missed my ferry because of the long checkout process.
The hotel is beautiful, the room I had with the bathroom clear wall that blinds you when your sleeping if your mate goes to the washroom, is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen.
Not a good idea at all. The pool area is beautiful and it’s a nice touch that the hotel is connected by an above walkway to the shopping mall infront of it. "
"I love this low key hotel. I have been there 3 times and will be back. The front desk is so helpful, the ladys are so nice!
It is on the main island so you don't need to pay extra to come off the atolls. It feels like old time tahiti, with shows a couple nights a week.
It is great to have the free breakfest right on the ocean."
"We spent a week in St Regis for our honeymoon and we both agreed that this has been the best trip of our lives.
We did the overwater deluxe bungalow and it was the most incredible room I have been in. The glass cut outs in the floor and just how big these villas are made it feel like our own private oasis.
We got the half board package which included daily breakfast and dinner. One of our favorite meals was at bamboo restaurant where we had the Laksa soup (one of the best I've ever had).
I also arranged for the mystery dinner which was by far the best experience of the stay (Shaya was our hostess and she was also amazing).
Some negatives are there is a huge aggressive mosquito population and I was eaten alive (however my wife was left alone so it is luck of the draw).
Staff was attentive and friendly and greeted you by name which was a great personal touch. "
"Fabulous location. We splurged on an overpriced over water bungalow (somewhat cheaper than the other big name places including the IC’s other location on the outer motu). Crazy expensive but definitely something special. Interior was roomy and pretty with a removable glass coffee table looking down at fish and corals. These little corals in waist deep Chrystal clear water have plenty of fish (saw a bright yellow moral eel also). I spent lots of time snorkeling there. Brilliant! Breakfast was expensive but very good. Lovely beach and nice beach bungalows too. The maitai hotel a five minute walk away is much cheaper and a definite step down but still really nice. "
"A slice of paradise — pure magic from start to finish
We just returned from the most unforgettable stay at the Four Seasons Bora Bora, and we’re still pinching ourselves. Our overwater bungalow with direct views of Mt. Otemanu was beyond anything we could have imagined — waking up every morning to that iconic silhouette rising above the lagoon felt surreal and cinematic every single time.
The service was simply impeccable. Every single member of the team went above and beyond — warm, genuine, and incredibly attentive without ever feeling intrusive. This is hospitality at its absolute finest.
Breakfast deserves a special mention: the variety and quality were extraordinary. From fresh tropical fruits to beautifully prepared hot dishes, it was a true feast — and one we looked forward to every morning.
And the spa? Perched with those unobstructed views of Mt. Otemanu, it’s a meditative experience as much as a wellness one. We left feeling completely restored, inside and out.
If you’re considering it — stop hesitating. The Four Seasons Bora Bora doesn’t just meet expectations; it redefines them. We left a piece of our hearts here and are already dreaming of coming back.
