A great room in a fantastic location. Absolutely superb service by all the staff that we came across. We were, however, disappointed by the truncation of the menu - no beef/venison on the main menu - and we had been so looking forward to trying both. The staff told us that this was because the hotel was about to shut down for the winter. Such was the rest of our experience during this stay, we will be back next year, hopefully with beef and venison restored to the menu.

Wonderful greeting and welcoming from Darren and Karen. Perfect instructions, their local knowledge and enthusiasm and love for the area is limitless. The accommodation is superb, location is very central to some of the most historical and beautiful, silent areas. The choice of breakfast? ..I guarantee you wouldn’t get the choice of cereals, jam’s etc anywhere else.. (Karen puts other ‘full’ breakfasts to shame..). We will visit the west of Scotland again and unquestionably The Old Cottage will...

Not in Oban (as Expedia classifies it)! Lovely secluded location at the end of a quiet loch. Staff were lovely, but a little hard to find at times.
Weather unfortunately wasn't in our favour but could imagine it would be lovely in dryer conditions.

Staff service was excellent. Good was amazing. Some noise at night due to creeky floorboards above. Room was lovely with nice touches eg water and biscuits.

Lovely overnight stay, the house is full of interesting things and there's a great view from the main sitting room.
Well recommended and would definitely stay here again

Fantastic weekend! Beautiful hotel with lovely attentive staff. We were thoroughly looked after all weekend. The communal rooms are so cosy and the sea view from the lounge and restaurant were stunning. Restaurant food was absolutely delicious and the drinks menu was wonderful. Loved the scottish gin menu. Would definitely come back.

Great for a quick overnight stop before the early ferry from Oban.
There is no on-site staff at the hotel, however they are located at one of the sister hotels nearby.
Note that you need an access code to gain entry to the hotel which is sent via email the day before you arrive.

If you’re looking for a luxury break in a typically Scottish baronial establishment, this is the place for you. Great staff, great location, fabulous facilities, good drinks list and plenty to keep you occupied. Ten out of ten!’ (Plus there’s peacocks!)

Pleased to find hotel situated near ferry terminal and town centre. ate in hotel restuarant and had bar meal. both passable. breakfast was amazing with wide choice. staff most helpful. Sadly the parking was very poor. We had a very pleasant stay with a lovely view from room window. Thank you.

Great location, lots of parking, easy to find. The accommodation is tastefully decorated, clean and the room felt calm and peaceful (although you can hear other guests coming and going). You have use of shared kitchen and lounge which has a partial view of the bay.
The room (Nr 3) was a good size but there was little space within the bathroom for toiletries etc, the sink was small, and a light next to the desk would be useful if I'm being picky!
I would definitely recommend Dalrigh house and...
