"We celebrated our Golden Wedding at the Coniston Hotel, along with 12 friends. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The service was excellent and the location was superb with views over the lake from all our rooms. All our friends thought the hotel was a perfect venue for our weekend celebration. The Winston' s Barn private dining room was fabulous. "

"We notified Maypole Inn of our expected arrival time and Staff kindly kept the kitchen open for us as we were late arriving - Excellent evening meal and generous portions. Additionally, we were allowed to use the kitchen freezer overnight for our cool box. Rooms and bathroom were very clean and tidy although there was a patch of damp/dirt in the corner of the celling in the main room. Breakfast was satisfactory and included a choice of cereals and a limited cooked menu. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. Overall, I would recommend the Maypole Inn."

"We stayed here because of its proximity to Grassington and All Creatures Great and Small association! The staff at the Old Hall Inn were very efficient - especially Dan, who did it all - Bartender, Chef, all-around good guy! Parking was easy and available. Breakfast was superb! The room we had was easily accessible up one flight of stairs, clean and well-supplied. We were concerened that it might be noisy being right above the bar, but it was just fine! Downtown Grassington is an easy mile stroll away, and the area has many beautiful hikes along the rivers and hills of the Yorkshire Dales."

"Nice hotel in the Yorkshire Dales. It was very busy but clearly well run. Room was comfortable and the food was very good. We had fresh plaice and it was perfectly cooked. Hearty English breakfast as well. Great place to stay in a nice location. "
