We also bought our dog with us and a dog bed, towel and bowl with a treat for him was provided in our room which was a lovely touch to our stay. We had a lovely evening meal also one of the best we have had in a long time and lots of choice for a quality breakfast. We will be returning as from the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and very professional and helped make our stay perfect."

"Lovely hotel on the edge of campus. Lots of atmosphere, impeccably clean rooms, and very friendly staff. After a busy week in London, the beautiful surrounds, fresh air and peace of Wivenhoe House were just perfection. We had two rooms for our party of three, both in the modern part of the hotel and both excellent. We especially enjoyed the room with a balcony overlooking the grounds. The restaurant was excellent, enjoyed dinner there as well as breakfast each morning - all just great. We didn't have a vehicle during our stay but found it easy and reasonable to get an Uber into town and to and from the train station. "

"Looks exactly like the pictures. We booked one of the suites which was beautiful however the bed was quite hard. When our room was cleaned, it wasn’t hoovered and toiletries weren’t refilled, which I would expect from a place like this. But overall, it was a beautiful stay, the spa was nice "
