Chlachain Inn

"Very clean room, convenient location and staff excellent- they went out of their way to make us welcome. We had to check out before breakfast started so they put together a lovely packed lunch for us and showed us the fridge to store it overnight. Rooms look recently fitted and decorated, hallway was a bit tired and could be done up. Would have liked the external door to be secured. No onsite parking but we found the East Bay carpark is not too far and there’s no charge. Otherwise a fantastic stay and we would recommend."

"The overlook on the water was beautiful. Bar and restaurant were nice with a limited menu and sold out of some things because of lack of inventory from the fishermen. Staff were lovely, especially man working at night. Breakfast was typical for continental breakfast but an amazing coffee machine to make most coffees. Hard to find plugs in rooms (I have a cpap) but it worked out. Distilleries and castle not far."

Park Lodge Hotel

"Had a lovely couple of days at Park Lodge. Great sleep. Lovely room. Wife appreciated the set up for hair drying and mirror in the bedroom. Only minor thing is that towels could be a bit larger. Evening meals were lovely. If having the September Chinese Trio special watch out for chillies! Breakfast was fine although full Scottish was a smaller portion than expected. Poached eggs had a different look but were tasty."
Duisdale House Hotel

"We arrived late, they were just about to wrap up serving dinner. Manager said just sit at the bar - have a drink and eat your dinner first then we will take care of the luggages. They took our order and served us delicious steaks, wine and then helped us with our luggage. They did all this smoothly and naturally, which made us feel very welcomed. Breakfast was great, not elaborately large spread, but enough of each category to meet our 10 veggie and protein intake targets effortlessly and delicately. Overall we couldn’t be happier and left very satisfied with the service, food and our clean, large cottage. If we come back to Highland Scotland we will definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone also."

"Breakfast was super. My wife particularly enjoyed the porridge. Portions were large. Room was clean & staff friendly. Bed wasn’t that comfortable so didn’t sleep particularly well. A bit too soft and springy for me as I like a good firm mattress. Room was very hot. Didn’t look like we could open a window but to be fair I didn’t ask. One thing they may wish to consider is to put a mirror in the room & not just in the en-suite. My wife dries her hair without her glasses on and couldn’t see herself from where the hairdresser plugs in to the mirror in the bathroom. This was a family room number 1."

"Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, beautiful accommodations, comfortable and well appointed rooms,very comfortable bed, spacious rooms, welcome bottle of wine , delicious food nicely presented, stunning scenery, close parking, we were treated like royalty!!!"
