Wat Hotel& Spa Hida Takayama
This is a great place with the option for public or private onsen. The one draw back for me is that it seems to be a typical location for tour groups.

We had a wonderful stay! The property is in a fantastic location, just a 2 minute walk from Takayama Station. The rooms were very clean and spacious, with a great bathtub. Recently stayed for 3 nights. Not a bad walk from train station. 7/11 over the road and a shirt 10 min walk to Starbucks and ten pin bowling was a bonus. Room was clean, accommodating.
