First time staying at the Cross chain hotels and i was surprised how nice it was. Centrally located right next to the Kamo river front and alley ways full of food/bars on one side and across the nearby intersection was a FamilyMart and the Sanjo Mentengai shopping area. Also a very short walk to the Sanjo Station which was super convenient getting around Kyoto and the surrounding areas. Checking in and out was a easy process using the kiosks in the front, staff is also super helpful - would stay again if I come back to Kyoto.

Would give a 3.5. The room is small (standard for Japan) and clean. But has no true window only a frosted pane of glass that doesn’t let much light in and you can’t see out of. Temperature is locked above 20c - also standard in Japan, except for the fact that the AC was so weak that in actuality the temperature never got below 23/24C. For the price it wasn’t disappointing but wouldn’t stay again.
