Staff is very polite & helpful, but the room needs sofa
Excellent stay. Great room amenities. Only complaint is the hallway carpet on my floor was stained, but upon entering my room, it was perfect where it counted.

Does the job, but slightly tired feel. Easy location close to station and many restaurants within walking distance. Hot baths on top floor are a plus.
The staff are very nice. I dont really speak Japanese and they dont really speak english but they tried very hard got the message through. I look forward to staying again if i come back to Himeji.😀
Staff can not adjust the customer’s willing and room is narrow and dirty.

The hotel's cleaniness, room size and staff are what you'd expect from a Japanese hotel in this class.
Strange and not pleasant were two issues:
1. Upon check-in we were conditioned to paying a 300 yen "public bath" tax (I'd guess the onsen use tax), although we clearly told them we would not be interested in its use. We were told all hotel guests were required to pay that tax.
2. The air in the room was damp and stuffy and the only way to refreshen it was by turning on the (rather noisy) air conditioning system; which in fact was only recirculating the air.
