It can be a bit inconvenient without a car, but there’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel that runs at specific times and goes to the nearest train station, Shiojiri. I was a short walk from everything I needed and wanted to see, with great restaurants and bars. I had a wonderful night's sleep and the breakfast in the morning was very good.
