ReLabo-Medical Spa&Stay-
10/10 Excellent
"My partner and I really enjoyed our 2 night stay at ReLabo. Unfortunately, I couldn't book the two nights on the same reservation, so I had to check out of my first room and check into the second. Thankfully, the staff at the front was able to check me into the new room right away so we didn't need to wait around! The hotel rooms were comfortable with ample space for lounging. Our first room had a bathtub while the second room had a shower. The amenities provided in the room were sufficient, and the public bath was clean and inviting. I enjoyed the apple bubbling bath in the women's bath a lot! And both times that I went, I was the only person using it in the morning around 8am. The hotel breakfast was the only thing that wasn't outstanding. While the service was good, the food itself wasn't anything to write home about. We ordered an omelet with scallop sauce, a croque-monsieur, and had some salad and fruits. Nothing stood out but it also wasn't inedible. For the cost, I probably would skip it next time and eat somewhere in the food court of the station since there were so many great options!"

JR Inn Hakodate
10/10 Excellent
"Our room was large for Japan standards. The location was great. I would definitely stay here again."

Tokyu Stay Hakodate Asaichi Akarinoyu
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel is in a good location (walking distance from the train station and market). Everything was clean and as described. We were able to store our luggage since we arrived before check in. Nice perk that there's an ice cream shop in the lobby."

Dormy Inn Aomori Natural Hot Spring
10/10 Excellent
"The staff was very helpful, the breakfast was excellent and full of variety, the laundry access and on-site parking convenient, and the rooftop onsen and massage chairs were a pleasure to use. Rooms cleaned everyday. On our first day, I did change out the loungewear provided in the room for a new set that fit better and was clean, as the set provided in the closet seemed like it may have been used very recently!? Still, I highly recommend dormy inn Aomori."

Hotel Global View Hakodate
8/10 Good
"A little away from town center and train station but street cars go to property. Hotel nice and beds good but the bathroom is small and hard to use. Great price for in suite room with kitchenette and balcony. The breakfast are excellent and well priced to select that option"

HOTEL MYSTAYS Hakodate Station
8/10 Good
"The location is brilliant - right across from the JR station and parking right next door (¥700 per night self parking so unlimited entry/exit). Very good for local restaurants, the morning market and close to tram stop to visit other attractions in the local area. The room was clean and comfortable, with a smart TV installed. The pillows weren’t great for us but not too bad. We had breakfast at the buffet each day and it was fresh and tasty. Loved them having local Hakodate yoghurt and milk products. That was a lovely touch! My only downside of the whole experience was at check in the staff were busy so the attentions wasn’t there. I went to approach the desk after waiting in line and was rudely told to wait for a self check in station instead. It didn’t worry me to use one - however it was a little confusing as it only allowed me to scan 2 passports out of our 4 guests so then I wasn’t able to ask questions about the breakfast vouchers and additional charges it insisted I pay for. Just would have been nice to have the staff be there for that to make the experience smoother. The breakfast staff were always lovely!"

Hakodate Kokusai Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"After a few busy days in Tokyo, it was a nice change of pace to be in Hakodate. The hotel is in a great location that’s walking distance from the train station. And also to the brick warehouse shopping area and fish market. We also used the onsen at the hotel. It’s included in your stay. It was our very first time for our family. We didn’t know there was a little tote bag we could take up with us to the onsen. Also remember to bring a towel from your room. I wanted to book a massage but it was fully booked. You have to pay separately for the massage. Rates were very reasonable. Plan ahead next time. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was excellent. They are famous for the seafood parfait with ikura, shrimp, salmon, tuna. There’s also Wagyu too at the breakfast. Definitely worth it for around $23 usd per person. We would definitely come back again."
