"Varis House is perfectly located to get around Lewrick. The accommodations were comfortable and when we needed something, we had a quick and great response from the hosts. Enjoyed the fresh baked goods and fresh fruit salad for breakfast. Thank you!"

"Really nice little hotel. As two tall Americans, we found the bed a bit small, but we understand that is to be expected in Europe. It would have been convenient to have power outlets on both sides of the bed. But those are little things. We loved the location and it was very convenient to explore Shetland."

"With Cruise ships blighting Lerwick, this country hotel overlooking the sea was a good find. a very individual inn, not quirky but functional. Showing it's age just a tad but would certainly say that it is good value for money (includes a cooked breakfast). Great location for visiting the northern islands of Yell and Unst as well as Scalloway and North Mavine. Roads on Shetland, especially the A Roads are well engineered and maintained so you can get everywhere on Mainland in an hour from here if you have hire car."
