The staff have been amazing everytime we have been visiting for the last ten months more on a weekly basis however recently have not felt that welcomed by a certain member of staff who shows no customer service care at all and come across very rude and abrupt. We have always enjoyed being here as the staff have always been friendly but recently we do not feel that is the case with one of the receptionist called Adeola. It would be appreciated if this individual respects customers and approaches them in a positive manner. Recommendations would be to improve her customer service skills on how to approach and acknowledge a paying guest! Maybe select her to individual 1-2-1 training on customer care.
As a paying guest - first approach by any member of staff is crucial to the first impressions of the location and the experience.

The staff were friendly, the food average, the room clean and the worst night's sleep I've had with paper thin pillows, completely lacking any support, boosted by bathroom towels and still awful. This was my first and last visit to a Best Western. Far better budget quality at Premier Inn.
The hotel looks nice. Lovely big bed. The setting over the quays is good.
However I don’t agree with £8 charge for parking if booking through an agent, free if direct.
The walls are paper thin. I heard EVERYTHING from the couple above. I had no sleep.
TV would be better if it was actually a smart TV as was advertised. I would give it 3 stars.
Location is really good for business and then walking into Sheffield city centre for meals and drinks in the evening. When the weather is ok the quays area is a good part of the city. Rooms are fine and staff are really helpful.

The Wi-Fi capacity is really poor. Very hard to do anything with internet or even email. The hotel needs to upgrade the Wi-Fi to increase the Bandwidth capacity for hotel guests as soon as possible.
Stayed overnight while visiting for the weekend. Amazing service, friendly and helpful staff members- absolutely lovely people! Facilities were clean and the room had a wonderfully cozy atmosphere, would definitely recommend for your stay in Sheffield over pricier hotels in the city centre.
Room was disgusting, dirty bathroom, room smelled of urine and dog, avoid this hotel

Room was spotlessly clean. Sadly the room was tired stains on carpet, broken loo roll holders and the bed had a duvet cover to small for the duvet on the bed which when asked to get sorted was eventually sorted. Staff spoke to were nice and polite. Could hear outside with the double glazed windows closed.
Looks lovely on arrival.
However that's where things start to slip. Check in was slow, receptionist not easy to understand and didn't really know what she was charging me. Was shocked to be told there was a £50 deposit to pay, hadn't budgeted for that.
We had room 321 right opposite the lift which was noisy all night. Pillows were far too soft I asked if they had other (like other hotels) but the answer was no!
Preston paid for a dinner deal but it seems reception and the restaurant don't share the same info, felt I was having to tell them what services they offered all the time.
If I was in a Premier Inn with their Good night guarantee I would have asked for it. I wasn't impressed for over £350 for 2 nights b&b
Very uncomfortable night’s sleep, the mattress was very soft and did not support the body. It was so soft it felt like your feet were higher than the head. In addition to this the mattress protector did not fit the bed, leaving a ridge in the bed.
The shower head was very poor, difficult to shower. The shower thermostat on the shower bar was set to warm, which could not be altered - this lead to a lukewarm shower.
WiFi did not let you access much as the signal was weak on the second floor.
Car parking had to paid for unless you had booked directly with the hotel. This was only notified once booked with Expedia.
Breakfast was good.
Would not stay again.
Spa dirty and facilities out of order towels grubby.
Food in restaurant terrible even the waitress agreed
Breakfast good
Heater clicking all night did not get much sleep
Not value for money
The staff were lovely, plenty of space in the car park (unlike other city centre hotels) and the room was clean and warm. The only drawback was the noise from the renovation work (they work at the weekend too!).
Only stayed for one night but found the room very comfortable. The only negative was the shower, it could have been more powerful and the water wasn’t very hot.
Breakfast was very good with a wide selection to suit all tastes.
Staff are lovely, hotel needs updating but is currently undergoing works, leisure facilities need updating, sauna was closed, pool fine but changing rooms rather tired.
Everything was clean and tidy, we didn’t eat there as meeting friends.
Lovely staff at breakfast and reception. Clean. Only negative is it's the middle of winter with a summer duvet on and no blanket. Took a while for the radiator to heat the room up and didn't feel comfy in bed
Please be aware that they do ask for the £50 deposit. Pay by card, not phone as they can't refund your phone. There's also the issue of parking. Please see attached photo for more information. Other than that it was a pleasant trip.
Hotel was ok, it wasn't a great location, about 15 min walk to any amenities.
The room was pretty basic. I paid for a room with a view but the room itself felt basic.
The bed was reasonable, bathroom okay, I felt the bedroom was tired although the rest of the hotel was better - though not amazing.
Staff were mostly very nice.
Our trip was spoilt even on check-in when 50 pounds deposit was demanded and 8 pounds per night for car park. I have never been asked for deposit before in a hotel. There is a car park right next to this hotel that charges 3.50 per 24 hours.
Rooms are old with dirty carpets. Smart TV was a good thing and tea coffee facility in the room was good. Duvet was thin like a bed sheet with no cotton left in it. This place needs modernised as this is not value for money these days as there are nice hotels available.
Cleanliness was first class, as was the comfort of and size our room.
The only problem was that the coffee machine didn't work! The breakfast menu was very good and the supervising lady in the restaurant was very friendly.
The hotel looked nice from the outside but we were very unimpressed with the superior room, not very clean, dread to think what a standard room looked like. The food was terrible in the evening and the dining room was freezing cold as the staff didn't know how to turn the air con off. Breakfast was cold. On the plus side the swimming pool was lovely
Nice place - bit distant to bars and restaurants but Uber easy enough. Would benefit by having a small fridge in room

Good service. Old building. No fridge in the room. There was only a small radiator at the corner of the room and wasn't enough to warm the whole room at all (even when set as highest possible temperature)
