"What a wonderful place. Its furnishings are a step back in time but it’s great for all the right reasons. The proprietor was friendly, professional, and polite. While it’s older it’s meticulously clean, very safe and oh so quiet. We were next door to the breakfast area and she apparent thick walls didn’t allow any sound in. Thanks for a great night’s sleep. We have stayed before and will definitely stay here again. "

"At $40 a night you have to have low expectations, but this place was great! Clean bed, and did NOT smell like smoke which is all I was looking for! There was a fridge and microwave which exceeded expectations. I highly recommend this place to budget travelers. The only things to note are that the air conditioner/heater is above the sink so you have to climb the sink to turn it on. There was not a remote. I am young so that is fine, but if you cannot do this then you will be without temperature control. The coffee maker did not have the little plastic thing in order to brew. There was a coffee maker and coffee, but I could not brew because the plastic that normally holds the coffee was not there. Overall I am extremely happy with my stay, and I would definitely stay again! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a budget hotel. "

"I have had some bad experiences with small local motels but we decided to take a chance with Western Motel. I was very pleased with my stay. The room was a little dated but everything was clean and comfortable and the price was great. The gentleman manning the front counter was very pleasant and helpful. I would have no problem with staying here again. "
