The property is a little out dated, hallways were a little smelly, the chair in our room is worn and it stinks but I can say the beds are very comfortable. The rooms are too dark not enough light and the fan is super loud in the bathroom. Overall we enjoyed our stay bc we were hardly in the rooms.

My family and I had a great time at the Wilderness at the Smokies. When booking thru Expedia, do understand that you will be in a property that is across the street from the indoor water park area. You can drive and see if there is parking in that side or take the shuttle bus back and forth. Possibly if you call or pick a different option than I did you might be able to figure out how to get a room in the same building as the indoor water park to avoid this drive or catching the bus. Other than that we were extremely happy and will definitely book again even if we are across the street. I have 10yr old and 11yr old and they had a blast. It was definitely worth the money and we will go again.

We love The Wilderness!! This was our youngest Grandsons first time here & he loves it!! The Resort is clean & well maintained. Only negative i have is there was no dinner option for the Stone Hill Lodge just grab & go option. We wanted a sit down dinner since it was raining and didnt want to go out but due to staffing shortage the restaurant was closed. We had no choice but to go out.

There was a lot of construction going on and we walked out on to our balcony and there were roofing nails on our balcony. We are just happy that our two year old didn’t step on one. When we told the front desk about it they just said they would send someone up to clean it up and that was all.. we were a little frustrated that the two restaurants we were excited about weren’t open all our stay. Our balcony door didn’t lock which was terrifying with a small child in the room during the night. Loved the waterpark and had fun but there were a few things that were a little frustrating.

Was very disappointed with the outdoor water park not being opened for our 4 year old granddaughter, the carpet in the lobby was very dirty and stained up, our bathroom door would not even latch shut, was excepting much more from the Wilderness Resort.

The staff was awesome! If you stay on the 1st floor be prepared for a lot of walking!! The property is older but I read somewhere that it will be updated soon. Hopefully the rooms will get extra lighting. There were ants around the window in the room. Maintenance came quickly to take care of them. I have two young children. They both had a great time! Overall we enjoyed staying at the property and enjoyed the amenities. It was very affordable for a quick trip!

Overall we had a fun time however I wish I would have known this resort was not in the same location as the pool/arcade so we had to be transported by the shuttle down to the building that had those things. Overall it was a nice place to stay though.

This was our 1st stay at the Wilderness and it was very disappointing. Limited breakfast options and opened late for our hungry toddler and teenager. The rooms are extremely snug.

Lovely resort with a lot of things to do on property. Free transportation between buildings. A couple staff seemed like they didn’t particularly want to talk to people, but most staff were great - especially the bus driver Alvin and the girl working at the Stone Hill Starbucks! The bathroom was very dark, but the room was comfortable and had everything we needed. It’s a little bit of a drive into Pigeon Forge, but I’d definitely stay here again!

Convenient transportation Didn’t like that there weren’t any food or pool options at the stone hill lodge location where we stayed everything was at the main building. Water park was nice.
