While Highland Hills may not have many sights to explore, venturing just a little farther will lead you to top things to see and do like Museum and Art Center and John Wayne Marina.
All the restaurants and shops close 4-5ish so plan accordingly unless you want fast food or limited dining options. Shops were cute- food was alright.

Small, cute town. We went to a local winery and drove around a bit but didn't do / see much else. Our main goal in the area was to see the Dungeness Spit & visit Olympic National Park, so this area was great for both.

Sequim is awesome. We go to the peninsula at least once per year. Usually stay in VRBOs. So much to do, I may have to do a 3 day weekend just in Sequim. Two new cool soundng restaurants we could not get into without reserving ahead. Will return!

Sequin is great for outdoor adventures, but on cold nights in the long deep darkness of the PNW winter days.
"This was a great place to stay while exploring Olympic National Park. I would absolutely come back again.
Good:
The breakfast in the morning was legit and had something for everyone. The staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy. And it was not far from a great restaurant (Midtown Public House in Port Angeles) that we went to twice during our 2-day stay.
Areas for Improvement:
It did get crowded in the breakfast area and felt like Tetris for a bit. Also, there was a little mold in the bathroom on the shower grout. "

"Check in with physical paper work to do- a litter bit slow. Otherwiseo it is a good stay giving that we book only 1 day ahead of time. What we need is just a place to sleep."
"There was a bit of a fiasco with the reservation, not the motel's fault at all though. And when they couldn't find me they were about to give me a complimentary room until it got settled! Fortunately, it all got straightened out and I was able to go to my room. They were patient and friendly through the whole experience and gave me a bottled water. I would stay here again and recommend it. Thank you for you patiyand understanding in the mix up!"
