We spent 4 days at the Castelli di Velona. Our room (a suite in the old part of the hotel) was perfect - a good size bedroom and sitting room and well equipped bathroom - all done in a traditional style in keeping with the castle. The pool area was also excellent. Our only suggestions for improvement would be to the gym (too small to really call a gym - only two pieces of equipment) and the lack of any tea / coffee facilities in the room. Perfect for a short break, quietly situated in lovely gardens with a pool. It felt very 'Italian' and was furnished and decorated with thought. The staff were delightful and the patron helpful and knowledgeable about local places of interest and history. We hope to return.

A beutiful small hotel next to unesco heritage thermal bath.

Utterly incredible stay, beautiful building and beautiful surroundings, I became ill during my stay and the staff went above and beyond to help me. Every member of staff was so lovely and friendly. Would visit again in a heartbeat!

Warm, friendly, family feel. Organised, convenient for food.

From the moment we arrived to the time we left was excellent, the staff, the room, Breakfast, and pool were all very good, we reserved a table with them in the evening of which was also a lovely experience, on the whole its a lovely and most relaxing place to be. we definitely will return.

What a wonderful find. The hotel is just 4 rooms, beautifully and carefully designed with a lot of attention to detail. Rooms are large, fantastic powerful shower and amazing mattress! Best sleep I'd had in months! Sara and Michele bought the historic building after years of experience in 5 start hotels, so you get 5 start care and attention in a beautifully designed boutique hotel. You can tell they love what they do and are passionate about making your stay as comfortable as possible....

A lovely little hotel with wonderful staff. A short walk to Montalcino where there are a good few nice places to eat.

Fantastic

We were here for 3 nights but could have happily stayed for 3 weeks!!! The host was wonderful, attentive yet discreet and a great communicator for both the practicalities of check in, and the finer details like restaurant recommendations and a wonderful local breakfast, we certainly ate well & Fabio was a wonderful host. The room itself was also fabulous - really well thought out, everything you could possibly need, from a fridge and wine glasses to excellent aircon and a lovely bathroom. Well...
