"Clean, modern and spacious en-suite room, plus a great location to explore the Lake District. There was a little road noise, but this was not an issue. There are 3 parking spaces at the front of the hotel, but, if these are full, street parking is available until 9.30am with a disc to display (There are no restrictions after 6pm or on a Sunday). "Friendly welcome on arrival . room was relatively small but well equipped and clen. Bed was comfortable. Dinner in the evening was excellent and all bar prices were very reasonable. while there was some ongoing construction in the hotel grounds, there was still the ability to take a short stroll around the grounds. Beds were uncomfortable. Mattress was really thin, when you sat on it you were basically sat on the bed base and when you laid on the bed you could feel the springs in your back and side.
The walls were wafer thin, you can hear the tap running and toilet etc from the room next door. Also the water in the bathroom made a right racket when you ran the tap, shower or flushed the toilet.
