"We recently spent 4 nights at Crossroads and overall it was quite enjoyable. Beds were very comfortable, rooms were very clean and loved the coffee machine with choices of pods!
We wish there was a refrigerator in the room but one was available downstairs.
It’s a bit tricky navigating the stairs due to the fact that the Inn is old ( 1820) and the stairs back then were small and steep. The grounds are beautiful and it was fun feeding the chickens! We were traveling with another couple and the one complaint we had was that one day there wasn’t enough breakfast food for all the guests. This was not the case on the other 3 days however. Breakfast was varied and tasty otherwise.
The Inn is conveniently located and a short 20-30 minute drive to Charlottesville and the historic homes."

"I am not sure if they have a new administration or what but I been staying in this hotel for the last 4 years because my doctor is in that area and I live 3 hours away. And now the hotel was dirty, food in the floor around the 4 floor, elevators the sameam and I do not event want to say how was the breakfast (used to be so clean) . Room with air-conditioned control broken I have to go to front desk just to be sure they do not charge me because of that. Now they charge you for parking too. Is sad that this hotel change I think this was my last time there time for find a new hotel in the area."
"This wasn't my first stay and will not be my last. I love this quaint, clean and friendly hotel. The staff is friendly, professional and goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable and every need is met. The decor is adorable, the thoughtful little items in the rooms are greatly appreciated. The beds, pillows and linens are exceptional. Plus, having a cool little food truck on the premises is a great idea. Also, the location is wonderful for exploring Charlottesville."
"Valet not helpful. Parking cost extra and two blocks away. He did not offer assistance with suitcases and we had to walk back to hotel with our luggage while valet watched."
"We had a wonderful stay at the English Inn. While it is an older hotel, we found it to be exceptionally clean and comfortable. Our room was very nice and quiet, the bed was very comfortable and the pillows were good quality. The employees were very helpful and friendly. Although we didn't have a chance to enjoy tea and cookies each afternoon, we thought that was a very nice touch. Each floor had a comfortable sitting area and the lobby had several nice sitting areas as well. The breakfasts were very good with numerous options to suit various appetites and dietary needs. The Inn is conviently located to main roads, highways, and downtown. We will definitely stay at the inn on future trips to Charlottesville."
"Very clean and very close to the University. The room decorations were great. The bathroom and bed comfort also great. They did a wonderful job in graduation weekend."
"It was a bougie hotel close to the center so it was easy to walk around. Loved the room, sheets, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. Usually i take my own but this time i used what was provided because it was high end and lovely."
"There was almost no lighting in the room or the bathroom. It was very difficult to see anything in the bathroom. It's also very noisy as it's closer to an interstate than we thought. People were nice, though."
"Thanks to the young lady who checked me in very courteous and well mannered parking was great I didn’t even care about the busy road will I stay here again absolutely"
