This was the perfect getaway for me. Situated approx. 5 minutes from the Main Street surrounded by beautiful countryside and tranquility. I loved every minute of my stay as a solo traveller I felt very safe and looked after by the amazing staff. Deluxe room was perfect for my needs, very spacious with a lovely deep bath and separate walk-in shower. The bed was massive and one of the comfiest I’ve ever slept in. The hotel is situated 10 min drive from Inverness airport. The driveway and grounds leading to the hotel are quite magnificent and the staff are so friendly that after just one day it felt like we were staying with family. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Fabulous place to stay, great attentive staff and within walking distance to city centre. Highly recommend.

The view over the water is simply stunning, the house sits at the end of a lovely woodland drive with all the charm of a 400 year old house

Lovely location, staff very helpful and kind. Rooms clean and well stocked with coffee etc. View from our room was stunning and the temperature in the room was perfect, the ability to open the window at night was good. The menu was not the largest and didn't change through the week but the food we did have was excellent.

Fantastic weekend! Beautiful hotel with lovely attentive staff. We were thoroughly looked after all weekend. The communal rooms are so cosy and the sea view from the lounge and restaurant were stunning. Restaurant food was absolutely delicious and the drinks menu was wonderful. Loved the scottish gin menu. Would definitely come back.

We arrived in darkness and were welcomed into a cosy bar with an open fire and comfy lounge area. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and had even offered to prepare us a meal as we wouldn’t be arriving before the kitchen closed at 9pm. The room was beautiful and I loved the style, a lovely nip of whiskey awaited us and some shortbread. The room was immaculate with cosy dressing gowns. An excellent small hotel in a rather grand Victorian house on the main road in Callendar. Easy walk into town. Great base for exploring the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Stunning scenery. Recommend going to Lock Katrine, it is beautiful. Loch Lomond was best on its east side, the west side is nearest Glasgow and attracts a lot of people in the summer. A lovely apartment which was very comfortable.

Firstly, the hotel is very good and the staff are friendly. The biggest down side is the Spa, which doesn't quite live up to the 5 star experience. The Spa is clean, and its staff are friendly and knowledgable, however, the change rooms are tiny and the pool lacks atmosphere.

Booked a short notice overnight stay in one of the upgraded pods. It was very nice with a very nice location. It was really quiet and peaceful. We booked dinner in the restaurant and the staff wee attentive, accomodating and very polite. The food choice wasnt huge but the quality of the food was good. It was a little pricey for what it was but you are paying tourist hotel prices. Overall we had a lovely time and would consider booking one of the larger cottages for a family event in the...

A great room in a fantastic location. Absolutely superb service by all the staff that we came across. We were, however, disappointed by the truncation of the menu - no beef/venison on the main menu - and we had been so looking forward to trying both. The staff told us that this was because the hotel was about to shut down for the winter. Such was the rest of our experience during this stay, we will be back next year, hopefully with beef and venison restored to the menu.

The hotel staff were very polite and helpful. Our room was spacious and well furnished. The shower was user friendly but took a little while to run hot. The meals were superb. It would have been a little difficult for an elderly person to have walked into the town and back as the hotel was located up a fairly steep hill, otherwise there there were no drawbacks and it's relative isolation from the town meant it was in a very quiet location. All in all an excellent experience.

Made to feel very welcome right from the start with friendly, helpful staff who were also very professional. Standard of accomodation was excellent. The hotel itself was warm and inviting with an open fire in the hall and the views from the dining room were quite superb. Beautiful grounds which would make the hotel a stunning venue for a wedding. The quality of food and presentation were both excellent. Can't fault anything.
