"Our stay at the Bären was fantastic. The staff is absolutely wonderful, friendly, accommodating. The Hotel and room is very clean. We were able to do early check in and our room had a little fridge and microwave, which was fantastic because we travelled with a toddler. They also put in a little bridge between the two single beds so we could all sleep in the big bed, no baby bed needed. The location is so close to all public transit and endless restaurants and shopping opportunities. It's very close to the parliament building. There is a public market on Saturday and Sunday everything is closed (shops, grocery stores) but restaurants/coffees are open. Overall a great location, quiet (if you get the courtyard rooms) and a very pleasant stay."

"The staff here was very friendly and helpful to answer any questions. Reception was open at all times. The room was very clean with nice furnishings. It wasn’t a big room but we found it adequate. Location was excellent as it was close to a metro station and easy walk to old town. Would recommend."

"We traveled from Aarau where there were all local residents. Thun was the next largest area. Still the local charm and some tourists. Lucern was an even more populated with a ton of tourists. We loved Thun it was the perfect mix of walking, shopping and boat excursions. Hotel Arte was centrally located for all that you would like to do. The Swiss Pass was the best for the clean convenient transportation. "

"A great place to stay in Bern! Nice lounge area with free coffee/tea available 24 hours. Although they give you codes to doors and rooms in advance, there is a host at the hotel most hours. You can have a key card if you prefer this instead of codes. I would have liked the option to buy a drink to enjoy on the Roof Top Terrace. Amazing views from there. Main lamp post attached to the bed in my room was an unusual experience; it does "swing" when you move around in the bed and makes a noise, that woke me up, but I am also not a heavy sleeper. I missed a TV though, at least in the lounge"

"Good hotel, amazing location, good breakfast spread (eggs, bacon, cheese, yoghurt, cereal, croissants, pancakes, juice). We had the family room which was on 4th floor. The only con would be that the room was really warm, even though it was cold outside. We needed to switch the AC on because it was so warm in the room. Other than that very convenient stay."
