"10/10 — Incredible beachfront boutique hotel Maramara Playa was the highlight of our trip to Sayulita. The hotel is literally right on the sand, and our room had floor-to-ceiling windows plus a big private balcony overlooking the beach and sunset - absolutely beautiful. "My boyfriend and I did not have a good experience at this hotel. Raccoons got through the ceiling and kept us up all night running along the roof. The next morning we did inform the hotel and they put a piece of wood through the hole they got in. However then a bunch of bugs started getting in our room at night and we would wake up in the morning with mosquito bites all over our faces. It was also hard to communicate with the staff because they didn't speak very good English and we had to text them every morning what time we were leaving the hotel at so the housekeeping could come and we requested more drinkable water multiple times but they would only give me and my partner approximately 1 L of drinkable water per day. The bugs were everywhere and they were extremely hard to control even though we would keep our doors shut all the time. "
