"The room was underwhelming especially for the price. Shower leaked onto the bathroom floor, mattress was very sunken in in the middle, lock didn’t work on the door, there was an overpowering lemon scent in the room. Location was great for how close it is to downtown Saratoga. Just wish we had a better experience for $1,300 for two nights."

"Pros: Clean, charming, horse themed room, comfy beds , lovely lakeside location Cons: Self check in. Nobody staffing inn. We arrived at 9:30 pm and did the ipad self check in. We were given a room code to put in the keypad. The code didn’t work, but luckily the adjacent restaurant was still open and one of the servers was able to retrieve a binder with various door codes and let us into our room. She told us the new code, but. unfortunately, we remembered it incorrectly. This was on the day of the Belmont stakes horse race, and my daughter was working at the track, so we woke up at 6 o’clock the next morning , and I drove her to the track. When I returned back to the hotel, I couldn’t get back into the room because I didn’t know the new code. This was 6:30 AM. There were two phone numbers to call listed on the outside of the building, but neither one of them worked. One rang continuously with no voicemail and the other rang once and then disconnected. There was nobody at the adjacent restaurant because they don’t open till 11 AM. I didn’t know what to do so I sat out in the parking lot in the car in my pajamas from 630 until 10:30 AM trying to call for assistance and getting absolutely no response. Not fun and extremely frustrating and unprofessional. If someone is not going to have a staffed hotel, at least make sure that your emergency numbers are working. It was an awful experience and I can imagine it could happen to anybody."

"I felt this hotel was overpriced for what I got. They had to change my room because the dark window shade was broken and wouldn’t open at all. That room was dark and depressing. I didn’t understand how to raise and lower the temperature in my room. The staff member’s solution was to have me just reave it off which was not a good solution. I also didn’t understand how to turn on the fan in the bathroom. The staff says I didn’t need to turn anything on as it is on all the time and just quiet. I didn’t like not having control of the fan in the bathroom. Also there was no pen or pencil and no pad of paper in the rooms."
