"This was a lovely hotel, with Katia ( the Hotel Manager) present and regularly asking if everything was satisfactory. The building , the rooms , spa and indoor / outdoor pools : all beautifully maintained. The breakfasts were wonderful ( cold buffet but also choice of omelets, eggs Benedict etc!) The hotel is in an excellent location with lots of restaurant choices nearby and now the Madeira Museum of Modern Art just around the corner with many musical performances."
