Was a perfect location to stay while in Itaim Bibi. The area was safe and it was easy to find transportation at the hotel. The lobby restaurant made excellent moqueca.
Very helpful staff, very nice breakfast with lots of tropical fruits, comfortable room, need to read notices about what to throw and what not to throw into the toilet
The views are amazing from the rooms and roof pool. Housekeeping and room service will take care of all your needs, food was amazing with room service. Very clean. Good centralized location.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Hotel has good amenities, unfortunately we had a rude lady at check in but ended up getting good help from one of her colleagues. The hotel was very noisy, probably the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed at. Breakfast was good and easy to get around from here.
The stay was great! The hotel was very well appointed, clean, excellent amenities and ambience. Please see my other review, I booked two rooms. The service from Ian, George, and Leticia was absolutely incredible, they displayed exactly what great customer service should be. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay in the Itaim Bibi area of São Paulo!
Excellent hotel in an up and coming neighborhood. The staff were very friendly and professional. Room was clean with really comfortable bed and linens. Nice view from the balcony.
The best hotel and best sleep I had during my two week trip in Brasil.
I saw other guests complaining about the repair work being done outside the hotel but feel they were being unfair as the improvements look like they will be very nice once completed.
The price on Hotels.com was £100 cheaper than what I actually paid.there was a lot of noise in my original room because of building work. The receptionist was happy to move me to a quieter and better room
Other than that it was a great stay.

The room is very good, comfortable, and well maintained. The breakfast is excellent, with a great variety of options, and the hotel staff is very polite and helpful.
However, the pool and the gym are very disappointing. The pool is extremely small, shallow, and honestly feels more like a large bathtub than a real pool. It looks completely different from the photos, which seem to be more of a marketing choice. Unfortunately, this is not exclusive to this unit, since the Copacabana location has the same issue, although the pool there is slightly better than this one.
The gym is also very poor. Several pieces of equipment are broken, and you are basically limited to training with dumbbells. There is very little usable equipment beyond that.
Overall, for a short business trip where I only need a place to sleep, I would definitely stay here again. But if the goal is to relax, enjoy the pool, or spend vacation time, I would not return.

Loved Stalingrado at this hotel. We stayed for 8 nights during a remodel. The rooms were spacious, with a comfortable king bed, and beautiful decor. The staff was professional and friendly, going out of their way to make our stay a pleasurable experience. The infrastructure of the hotel added to our rating. Great gym. Rooms with spectacular views and walking distance to many restaurants bars and offices. We are from SP and would definitely recommend and stay again.
The Grand Mercure Itaim Bibi was a great place to stay. The location was excellent very upscale, with great places to eat, great bars, shopping, and the Central Park of São Paulo all within easy walking distance. Every room has a balcony, the rooftop pool had incredible views of São Paulo.
The room had a very comfortable King Size bed, amble space for working if needed, the room was very clean, nice size bathroom with a large walk-in shower, plenty of water pressure.
Ian, George, and Leticia at the front desk gave incredible customer service and even spoke fluent English, which was very helpful since I do not speak Portuguese! They were super friendly, very knowledgeable about the areas restaurants, bars, and other attractions like shopping etc.
I would give the stay a 10 out of 10 if that rating were available on this platform. I will return to São Paulo again, and only stay here.
It was a great experience indeed. Job well done yo everyone! Thank you!
Hotel is very nice, but heat did not work in room, only AC. Actually, the in room AC unit was not fully functional. Bathroom sink never provided hot water. Shower did. Shower was fantastic. Room great.
Lastly, lots of construction around property. I would wake up at 3am of metal item being delivered.
The hotel overall is nice - great location, big rooms and a very good breakfast!!!
But be aware of noise - not only from all the construction sites around the hotel (out of the hands of the hotel) but also from internal parties and conferences at the hotel. To get away from construction noise (and there is a lot!!) I was recommended by the hotel to book Executive room on the top floor (most expensive category) which I did - only then to realise that these rooms are just under the top floor conference facilities where there was a LOT of noise from parties, live bands playing etc.
The hotel management did not really care - I had to move rooms 3 times during stay - with no compensation, acknowledgement or apologies.
