"I booked through Expedia, which I will never do again. Although they gave me almost a full refund… The American Inn in Marshfield, Wisconsin was not a pleasant site… The foyer was filthy. The blinds throughout the hotel were torn ripped crooked… And the workers were smoking outside right by the entrance."
"Check in - arrived very late. Staff was helpful but we didn’t receive the wifi code. Once in the room, it was stuffy and 85 degrees.
One packet of conditioning shampoo was provided for two people for two nights. When asked for more, was given body lotion. Wash clothes were stained and bath towels were thread bare with several holes. "
Three Bears Waterpark Resort Near Tomah, Ascend Collection Hotel
2/10 Terrible
"Was disappointed that half the waterpark was shutdown, especially having 3 littles and not being able to use that section we intended to hence why we booked there. When we went to the restaurant, I had to ask to have our table wiped down and no one was in the restaurant. Our buzzer never went off for our food, when we got our food it was cold. Talked to the cashier about it and they just smiled and said sorry. I walked up again and as I was walking up they made sure to grab the tip jar and put it on the counter and when I walked away they took it off. The room was at least up to a semi decent standard minus the the panel ripping out of the wall. Got charged an extra 30 dollars at the door for using expedia... Frustrating experience with kids."
"Two night stay and the A/C was not working in our room (and others). They did provide a large fan and offered 25% off the room rate. We stayed at Hotel Meade twice previously, about 20 years ago, and the hotel is not as nice as I recall. Rooms could use updates and the outdoor patio area should be better maintained. The free breakfast was very good and the restaurant staff was nice. Front desk staff wasn’t particularly friendly. Understand they were in a tough spot with the A/C but they could have been a little more sympathetic. “Sorry” goes a long way. Great location."
"The room resembled a crime scene with blood on the bed, what appeared to be vomit on the floor, among other bodily fluids. The smell was horrible. The door to the room was left wide open, as were the windows with no screens."
"young man working behind the counter had to call to figure out how to check us in then wrote the credit card number out on the paper instead of running it. very concerning"
