"The property itself was amazing, the beach was definitely the best on island, the staff was unbelievably accommodating! We stayed in the honeymoon suite-wasn’t our honeymoon but we are newly married. We could hear the property next door as it was wishing 10’ of our palapa. The only other thing I can say is that we were not aware that they only served beer and wine and no other alcoholic beverages at the resort. Would definitely stay again if visiting. "

"All I need to say about this property is...I have been to San Pedro Belize 5 times, I have given Drift Inn my business 4 out of the 5 and it was a mistake to go somewhere other than the Drift Inn! It has a very local and community vibe surrounding the complex. For instance, you park your golf cart right on the beach, walk through the Sandbar bar and grill restaurant, which is equally as awesome, then through a coded gate and straight into the communal kitchen and bathrooms. We stay in the single rooms that have comfortable and clean beds and a private bathroom with shower. Staying here allows you to walk in either direction and hit the beautiful beach front, with several docks to explore. Those docks are where most tour companies will pick you up from. If you go inland, then you are smack dab in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the Belizian culture. This place has everything my heart desires and it deserves to be praised. Not to mention, the price you pay is amazing for what you get and it's definitely a diamond in the rough!"

"The hotel is about a block away from the main boat deck where the ferry arrives and it has a good restaurant and bar attached and a really good restaurant next-door for breakfast. Our room was on the beach with a little balcony overlooking the ocean. It's a basic hotel, a little older, but you can't beat the location."

"This hotel is located in downtown San Pedro on the oceanfront. You can easily walk most of San Pedro directly from the hotel. You feel safe walking during the daytime and at dusk. There are many restaurants, no chain restaurants but all locally owned restaurant of various quality. There is a restaurant at the hotel but we didn't try it. Keep in mind that in San Pedro there are no all inclusives. The hotel is very clean and provides filtered water. The small pool is very clean. We went the first week of April and we had no mosquitoes at all. The streets of San Pedro are very narrow and busy, you need to be very cautious because it can be very crowded with pedestrians, golf carts, motorcycles, bicycles... and there are no sidewalks. There are very few cars and trucks anywhere, just more golf carts than you can imagine. Rent a golf cart if you want to go to Secret Beach, the only really nice beach on the island, about 40 minutes by golf cart. If you do rent a golf cart, just be aware of that all streets are very bumpy everywhere. We flew from Belize City to San Pedro, a 15 minute flight by puddle jumper. It cost a lot more than taking the ferry, but it was worth it. The ferry is 90 minutes one way. This hotel has a relationship with Ambergris Divers, and I was able to arrange my initial scuba dives at the hotel lobby. Also, Ambergris Divers is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel so there's no problem just walking over there to do everything in person there. "
