Very pleasant place and had local building style which we liked . Everything worked there and we also had a good free breakfast at their restaurant . Good location for visiting the town -and they had a lovely spot to sit and wait for our many tours . Recommend !

Stayed here for 2 nights and the was the worst hotel we ever stayed due to the bad attitude of the owner. 1. Attitude of the owner on -the bathroom toilet issues: Issue: We arrived at the hotel in the evening after a long day from Punta Arenas and they assign us room 8. the toilet bowl does not work. they mentioned they will send somebody. 30 minutes later nothing. the guy arrives after repeated follow ups and then says he cannot fix it since there is a power outage and no water. I got to the reception to change the room, Response: -the staff says he can give another room but i have to move back to this room the next day and then transfers the phone to the owner. She is so rude and says she cannot do anything since the hotel is sold out..as if she was doing us a favor for letting us stay there and we have to understand the problem. - On top of that their generator was not working. She told me that we can go and find another hotel since it is not her problem since there is a power outage and they cannot fix the toilet till it comes. Nor can she give us another room for 2 nights. We stayed back and the alternative room offered was even more gloomier. 2 Rooms: the ventilation is very poor with one window and no AC. It made me sick all the time we were in the room. Had to keep the doors and window open if we needed to breathe. There is something wrong with the air quality inside the rooms. 3. Service: awful I would highly recommend to stay away from this property.

Great home base for the Atacama Desert.
Beautiful little oasis. Convenient to all services in town. Very helpful staff. Tasty breakfast included with stay. Highly recommend!

We left the towels scattered around, but the maid did NOT change the towels, just folded the still wet towels and put them on the bed. There was a man’s hair inside the hamburger. The reception did not tell us that the breakfast had to be booked, nor was it shown anywhere when the restaurant opens and closes. We booked an anniversary celebration online which costs 18,000 pesos and included a cake and half bottle of champagne. The reception said that she could not find the reservation. In the end we got the cake and champagne but the hotel charged us 23,000, without telling us the price in advance. They sent the cake to the room, but did not give us any utensils to eat the cake with! I had to walk back to the restaurant to get them myself. When we checked in, they told us our room was ready, but when we entered the room, there was NO curtains. Some maintenance men came in when I was showering to install the curtains. The reception gave us no prior notice at all.

Wifi coverage was patchy, dependant on how close your room was to a WiFi point. Ours had no WiFi in the room. Pool was hazy, so could do with better cleaning. Restaurant was average, quality was ok, menu average.

Nice place. Staff very helpful. Restaurant nicer than some of the ones on the main street. No television in room, but you are not going to want to stay in your room anyway. There is just so much to do in the area.

Everyone at the hotel was service-oriented, helpful and hard working. The only downside was that it was too hot in the room at night. In our room, anyway, there was not a lot of cross ventilation and it was too hot for good sleeping at night.

Everything was just fine except the bed... on wheels: impossible to lock! Do not try to read with your back on the wall or having any non-sleeping activity without being rolled away in the middle of the room. Breakfast is fine but do not expect to eat light at dinner

Convenient with great restaurant
Convenient hotel with excellent restaurant in the middle of San Pedro. We booked tours of the major attractions through them and were very happy with them; we had great guides and ate great food in beautiful locations. Top notch breakfast, dinner also very good, more sophisticated menu than other places we ate in San Pedro. All that said, the quality of the rooms here varies greatly. Our first room had house music coming through the walls from a restaurant with outdoor speakers across the street -- not the hotel's fault, certainly, but not good for us. However, the hotel quickly found us another room, much larger, and though we paid a little more for it, it was totally worth it,. When another room like our original one opened up, they moved us back there. Overall the rooms are basic, with adobe walls, minimal amenities, no AC, but that wasn't an issue, it gets cool at night and each has a little outdoor area where you can sit, within the hotel's enclosed compound. For us the location, food, tours and overall look of the place made it a good stay.

Good location near by main streets. Nice reception helped in details about my requests & questions. Especially Kimal hotel provides local excursion guided tour programs including lunar valley tour by their own travel agency Kimal, which was very satisfied and enjoyed.

A pleasant oasis in a hot and dusty town.
Staff were excellent. Breakfast was goodRooms were comfortable and well furnished but if you are disturbed by noise I can not recommend the room (15) next to the Main Street. I asked for a move and the staff were very accommodating. There is a restaurant bar on the Main Street which plays music after 12 and which caused the problem. I also recommend hiring a car from Calama. There were no cars available at Europcar in San Pedro. Also Liancabur bus company drivers are very casual in timing so taking your own car back to airport is better or book early back to Calama. The staff at Hotel Kimal could not have been more helpful during my stay. Thanks to Eugenio and Andrea in particular. If you are travelling alone you will probably not be able to rely on a tour becoming available from the Hotel so look around for options. Flamingo tours were fine on the Main Street.

The service at this hotel left us wanting. One night we took a late stargazing tour and came back to our hotel being locked up we rang the doorbell many times no one came to help we had to remove the fence post so we could get in. Also it says it has a hot tub it does but you have to tell them you want to use it at least an hour and a half before you want to use it. For the price we paid the hotel was not worth it.

Decent enough
Great service with friendly front desk personnel some of whom speak English. Property is cute and breakfast is nice. Rooms are small and dark but do the trick. Internet is very slow, when it even works. Don't expect to get value in San Pedro de Atacama, the place is insanely expensive - so even though rates at this property are high you aren't getting a 5* property. Think 3* property and then you'll be happy.

Everything is A OK, as long as you are able to make you self clear.Do not expect every one to understand or interpret your English correctly. We had misunderstandings concerning food (Salmon served while Tilapia was ordered) and concerning a tour (one site not visited but announced in the propaganda material). In both cases we were correctly compensated after some discussion.

The Best in San Pedro de Atacama
The restaurant is perfect for the busy tourist and has a fine menu. The Hotel is comfortable and conveniently located one half block from the main street. The staff are particularly helpful and can assist with last minute details.

Comfortable hotel
We were happy with our stay in the hotel although it was a bit expensive (but from what I've understood, so are the other hotels in the area as well). The wireless internet didn't reach all the way to our room, had to go to the reception with our laptop to connect to the internet which was a bit annoying.

The Hotel is very well located, almost at the corner of the street Caracoles, the main in San Pedro do Atacama. It's very confortable and clean, the pool is good and people there are very lovely. The only thing I missed was a TV, though I hardly stayed in the hotel. I stayed at Poblado Kimal and the breakfast was not there, it was in Kimal, which was not a problem because it's right in front of it. When we left too early for the tours, they left the breakfast prepared for us to take.

Experiência incrível, todos os funcionários muito atenciosos. A única questão é que essa época é mais quente e o quarto não tinha ar condicionado, o que tornou a estadia um pouco complicada na hora de dormir, o quarto também muito escuro, mas entendo a situação uma vez que a cidade de São Pedro do Atacama a energia seja uma coisa escassa em toda a região.

Unser Aufenthalt war super. Selten so eine saubere und freundliche Unterkunft gesehen. Das WIFI könnte stärker sein aber insgesamt war es super. Auch das Restaurant in der Anlage war super lecker. Auch super Frühstück mit hummus und Obst.

Ótima estadia.
O hotel é super receptivo, aconchegante e limpo. Os funcionários são todos muito simpáticos e educados, em especial a recepcionista Sevla. Como os passeios são bem cedo, eles perguntam se dará tempo de tomá-lo, senão deixam separados na recepção para que possamos levar, tudo pensado nos detalhes. Amei a estadia e experiência nesse lugar incrível.

Es in hotel sencillo pero muy agradable, cerca de la calle principal. El restaurante del hotel con muy rica comida, un spa con amplios servicios, y el personal muy atento a lo que uno requiere. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

Hotel sencillo , sobre valorado, de muy buena ubicacion , estacionamientos limitados , desayuno muy simple y paupérrimo ( te entregan a elegir una lamina de queso con otra de algo parecido a jamon o huevos revueltos) café instantáneo en termo y vaso de jugo en caja. Piscina y areas comunes bien mantenidas , habitaciones con solo un ventilador de mesa , muy calidad para estar en el dia , para la noche calefactor a gas que en nuestro caso no funciono , pero con el calor del dia acumulado en habitacion no fue necesario. Check in y check out expeditos y sin problemas para realizarlo en cualquier momento dia o noche. Personal muy amable en recepcion, resto casi no saludan. Segun lo informado no tienen tv ni aire acondicionado, room service tampoco.
