Beautiful property and relaxing couples get away. No distractions, very peaceful ranch on a vineyard with rolling hill sunsets. Loved the detailed touches on the suite; local snacks and goodies included.
The property is located in an absolutely beautiful area with amazing views of the hills with vineyards and a pond.
The downside was my room was next to the property's generator and while we were literally the only customers besides the hacienda the hotel management declined putting me in one of the many other rooms "sorry we're full"...The other downside was the breakfast which at this price point should be better: more fresh and varied.
What a wonderful experience! The room was attractive and clean, the bathroom was just beautifully tiled, the breakfast was a feast, and Darlene is a warm, friendly, interesting person. We would love to come again!
The staff of Darlene, her husband Victor, Yeti, welcomed our family with open arms from day one. The European breakfasts are absolutely delicious, especially the frittata and Darlene’s homemade jam and granola! Annika did a wonderful job for our wine tasting and she was very thorough and so friendly. Highly recommend. 10/10!
La Lomita Ranch is a beautiful property, that is exceptionally cared for in every sense of the word. Accommodations are warm and inviting, creating an immediate sense of calm and escape from the pressures of daily life. Darlene welcomed us at the Ranch’s entry drive and personally assisted us to our room, providing a genuine warmth and charm. Darlene personally created a beautiful breakfast every morning, including the best French pressed coffee, assortment of fresh fruit and homemade breakfast. Beautiful walking trails, relaxing seating areas throughout the property, allowing you to take in the natural beauty of the property. Do yourself a favor, take a moment out of your busy life to stop and remember what true relaxation within a beautiful environment means.
Very remote location, with one other guest on property. Expedia directed me to book the most expensive room. Total was $508.56, Promised drinks and hors doeuvres? A ranch manager (he was very nice) tried to check us in, but had to give us his master key to the room so we could get in. There was no one to greet us. Place lovely, I got the check in code after I texted the greeter. I wouldn't recommend for women traveling alone, too remote, and no one on site for security except for ranch manager and wife, plus owners living up the hill. (Not seen)
A tranquil property that's a little off the grid. The hostess, Darlene, was friendly and made wonderful breakfasts every morning. The room was decorated in a Spanish fashion with comfortable beds.
We sat out on the patio watching the sunset in front of a fire and listened to the fountain. It was bliss.
This place is truly a "hidden gem." Located on the vineyard side of San Luis Obispo. The ranch-hand Darlene gives guests individualized service including daily home cooked breakfast in the property's lounge kitchen. Wine Tours are also available upon request and are highly recommended! This property have only 7 rooms and a Hacienda so it is perfect for a couple seeking a quiet romantic retreat. This is a must stay!
My husband and I came from LA to get away for the weekend and we had a fabulous stay on the ranch. It was so quiet and peaceful on the property. The scenery is epic and you won't want to leave. We loved waking up to breakfast everyday made by Darlene. We visited the horses and did the nearby hike which was wonderful. The rooms were really neat, ranch style, a huge bathroom and very comfortable. We loved that there weren't many guests staying there so it was really quiet and you didn't need to worry about people passing by your room disturbing you. Lastly, they also make wine and since we were staying there we got a complimentary wine tasting from Scott. We bought 2 bottles. An excellent stay all around.
