"I have stayed at Amaru Colonial a few times in the past. I love this beautiful hotel. It has lovely gardens and the rooms have lots of character. There are many choices for breakfast. The staff are amazing and willing to help out how ever they can. It is close to some really great restaurants. The only challenge is walking down the hill. As a Canadian, we are definitely not used to the narrow roads and watching to make sure your purse strap doesn't get caught on a car mirror as the cars...

La Hosteria de Anita
2.5 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (31)
"It was fine. Very loud so if you're a sensitive sleeper or have difficulty falling asleep it's not good. The heater looks like a whiteboard on the wall and has one setting so it's either off and freezing or you wake up hot in the night. Shower was kind of a cave. The courtyard outside was pretty a d they had tea out all the time. Had to leave before breakfast. "

Hostal Tu Hogar
3.0 star property
7.2 out of 10, Good, (41)
"The only good thing about this place was the location. One of the worse hostel experiences I've ever had. The place wasn't clean at all, we found multiple used bar soap pieces on the inside of the shower door, clusters of his on the floor and between the blankets on the bed. Had to go back to reception to get trowels (after confirming at the check-in that they're already in the unit)... They only had one hair dryer, which they kindly let us use for up to 1 hour. Never again. If I wasn't so tired...

Andean Home
2.5 star property
6.8 out of 10, (5)
"Great stay! Rooms were clean and the staff was amazing! It was a bit loud at times but nothing ear plugs can't fix. Be weary of the Taxi drivers from the airport who claimed this Hotel was in a dangerous area away from San Blas. We had already booked the hotel and figured if it was bad, we could change hotels. It wasn't the case at all and he then drove us straight to a travel agent not as requested. They tried selling us tours for way too much. Glad we didn't book anythimg with them. That being...
